If guilds were meant to be able to bid on multiple locations at once, they would have built that into the trade system. Instead, the players have found a loop hole that they're exploiting. I say kudus to the originator of this post for sharing these trader flips. I say let's keep reporting this crap and keep posting about it, keep it in people's minds. Maybe somebody at ZOS will finally recognize the need to fix this exploit.
Interesting. So someone is bidding a large amount on guild traders and then giving the location away to another trader by disbanding the guild and letting someone else have the location for a cheaper price. Am I understanding that right?
If so, where does/did the gold go when they disbanded the guild? Back to the GM, or just disappear?
If the gold goes back to the GM, then that's definitely a manipulation of the game mechanics to cheat.
If the gold just disappears then isn't that original bidder just losing a lot of gold? ...and why do that?
Did they just make so much gold at launch, that they have gold to burn and they are doing it for clout reasons?
This does seem like something that would kill a game, since no one wants to play a game that's rigged against them.
Fortunately, ZOS fixed this several years ago by killing ghost guilds (a guild can no longer disband with an active trader) and allowing multi-bidding so guilds can properly make backup bids in case their primary bid loses.
But yes, back in the day, this was an absolute nightmare for honest guilds who didn't kneel to kiss the ring of those who held the ghost guilds.
