Skill up they should just add a set that has a 50% chance to kill someone wearing a proc set if any damage done or received that way we have counter play to them right?

TBH I don't think I have seen a more ironic post on these forums than this THREE freaking proc-set using OP telling other people that they need to "skill up" Truly comical. Looks like somebody is afraid that they're about to start get manhandled once their proc-set crutches are nerfed. Sorry you won't be able to one-shot people with light attacks + procs anymore, looks like you're just going to have to "skill up man."

If you read carefully, i said i 'tried' these procsets for a time, im not defending them, nor i am worried about them being nerfed, cause they are not my crutches. Since I dont use them.
What i was saying was that even wearing the triple proc-set build, some people managed to make me bite the dust, so the problem are not the proc sets, but the skill. If someone can, you can.

But you know the difference? some people invest the time on crying on the forums, some others invest it on learning how to counter them. That was my point, stop being a whiner and skill up, it's not that hard.

I 'skilled up' long time ago, thanks

Only if nerfing doesn't affect PvE so much. Most, if not all, those calling for class/skills to be nerfed are likely those in PvP who probably keep getting their arses handed to them from another players/class toons. Got it.. many like PvP, and yes, there are cheating and exploits going about in PvP. So, many will feel disadvantaged when others cheat to get one up; probably causing the crying out for nerfing. The thing is.. every time something gets nerfed, it also directly affect PvE... and for those that have said and will come and say, "I don't care about PvE.. I only PvP." Well, good for you, but there are a lot of folks that only PvE and likely so more than those that just PvP. However, I'm not going to get into what is what better than what or my *beep* is bigger than your trivial type childish argument.

Nerfing has affected PvE quite ridiculously; particularly those that came with Morrowind patch. Hey, I like the challenge and it's not such a breeze anymore going sololy against world bosses and dungeons. However, you're getting hit now with damages ranging from 5k, 8k, upwards to 12k and close to 20k. Those who are not buffed up with food to get in the upper teens of hp are getting killed by 2 or 3 shots and even getting one-shot killed, at times. Heck, even those adds and bosses at dolmens are putting out more juices. If you mess up and forget to throw on your shield or health regen, you can see your deathcap with 4k, 5k, 7k, and 12k shots from dolmen bosses.. damn! I'm even seeing more sorcs getting wiped and reviving just at dolmens and world bosses fight. At times, (sololy) even at a dolmen, it seems like it's comparable to a vet dungeon.

I would be for nerfing if it only have an impact to balance PvP; however, it has been a crying shame what nerfing has done to toons/class/skills in PvE. It should be criminal.. and still, folks are crying out for more nerfing. Ridiculous!

Saying to skill up yet defending proc sets as they are. Talk about oxymoron.

Im not sad, nor i am defending proc sets. L2read. Only thing you got right is the 'skill up' part, thats something at least.

You see... We should not generalize. Yes, calling for nerfs in most of the situations is bad and tbh I personally hate nerf threads as almost every mechanic in this game has counters. Kiting - snares and roots. Healing - defile and resource drain. Poisons and some other debuff stuff - purge/ritual. Tanks - oblivion damage, penetration, unblockable CCs etc. etc. BUT there are some mechanics that cant be countered in active way and need to be tuned down a bit - proc sets. In the past we had some OP skills like elusive mist, reflective scales, bolt escape - those skills was very powerfull and hard to counter but thanks to changes now are still very useful bot not OP. Nerfs used wisely are good and needed, but what we can see most of the time is this scenario:

PvE guy walks first time into Cyrodiil with his "perfect" build, eats his first in a life time combo from other player, then eats jesus beam/furry/wrath/EoTS and thinks "no! my build is perfect! this ***** is OP, it needs to be nerfed!"

No! Nerfs but also buffs shouldnt be imposed by the majority - it should be studied well by the team and then treated properly.

OP is right, yes proc sets are on the advantage side for extra burst but you also leave yourself vulnerable to other area's. Most proctards I've ran into wearing viper, selene, red mountain rely on that initial burst from all 3 sets, so if they can't burst you down, and you turn the tides the glorified rage tells from the proctards are infamous!

Now as for the nerfs, I find the only nerfs needed was making monster sets have a visual indicator. half the time I didn't see the damn bear just heard it.

Why can't people just get over the fact that everyone dies in PVP, I can run pve and barely die i can run for a few days a week without one death, unless in vet dungeons really or occasional lack of concentration on my part, but in PvP I prob die 4 times an hour but I don't care just get up and fight again.

If anything should be nerfed it's burning talons lmao (solely because I [snip] hate it lol)

First page and you are already going for ad hominem insults instead of valid arguments? Tells much...

The thing we - the people that actually care dir balance- critisize is that proc set give too much for the skill slot invested. How is it balanced that selene provides like 3x the damage of f.e. surprise attack? Why a magicka class has to invest haöd their stamina just because one tremor proc?

You know, I like competition, I like carrying new players through raids and vCoS, I like to Best vma on all classes and then farming in a non sorc non nb class, I even like being 10 vs 25 in open cyrodiil. But I only like it because most of this happens in a fair environment. Those 25 players might be pugs and those 10 have Communication going and so on.

You however are lazy and don't play with honour imo, if you rely on cheese. That doesn't teach you anything. Its lame.

Then again, Im not defending proc sets, and i dont use proc sets, i actually rarely PVP, and when I do, i dont use them, i think i've said it a thousand times. My point was that skilled players dont care about them, cause they know how to counter them easily after investing some time on skilling up instead of just coming to the forums and cry for a nerf.

Also, i was not insulting anyone. I tried giving some arguments, and i recognise that i have seen some threads of people giving valid arguments about balance. But my post was not about those.
