Every weapon i craft is pink.. how do i stop this??

One of my guesses is im using the crown mimic stones.

looks super ugly with my outfit how do i craft a staff and make it look original?

Edit - i found out what it is. The reduce enemies weapon damage glyph shines the weapon pink.

The reason why i didnt think it was the glyph at first is because i always use increase weapon damage glyphs and i know that doesnt make them pink .

So when i first glanced at my glyph i assumed i thought it said increase weapon damage but it was reduce weapon damage . I replaced it with increase weapon damage and boom it was gone.

Thanks all

Welcome to crafting with Ruby Mats.

Some racial styles are less red than others. Soul Shriven Staves are one of them, they are almost true brown.

PS It matters not if you use the Mimic Stones, you get the style of the motif you selected.

I dont get it though i have crafted cp160 staffs that looked normal ( red )

Pink as in pink or pink as in red? Cp 150-160 things are generally a very vivid red because rubedite stuff. Actual pink is one of the lower tiers, galatite stuff I think.

Also some styles do not follow the common colour scheme, like Glass swords for example. Worse with staves though.

Depends on the style. Sometimes the red comes out pinkish. Use a different style that actually looks red when using rubedite instead of washed-out red (AKA Pink)

Dude im talking about a glowing pink its not the original staff color the original staff color is red i have created it before

My problem is why is it coming out glowing pink now. Its a glowing purple/pink not sure if you know exactly what im talking about.

It has nothing to do with the level of the weapon or style of it.

    Still a mystery smh

What staff are you crafting? Can you post a screenshot? If it looks completely mono-colored then I'd say that there is a problem with your client or something and its not loading the texture.

The answer is, because we'd end up with people dying their weapons pink... oh... wait...

Sounds kinda like the graphics bug we had last year where some players, gear and environments were bright pink or bright green (and some of us lost our undies). Remember this: http://imgur.com/8ugWWhB

depends on style and such, but generally all rubedo-level weapons look anywhere from red to pink.

The solution is to join us in complaining about there not being weapon dyeing

How do you get this not to happen?

You convince ZOS that red weapons are stupid-looking and they should do something about it.

Hope you have better luck than practically the entire playerbase combined has had.

honestly at this point I think we'd have better luck telling ZOS that was want a new tier of material. and praying it's not Flamango pink or something

    ^This!^

The current top tier material is bright red, but some styles add a whiteish sheen to make it look pink. IIRC the PvP alliance styles are among those which do...

And yeah, that is the major question.
Even if they made weapon dyeing a special case where you get limited to "metallic colors only" for the "buisiness parts", it'd be something a great many people here have been whining for over the last couple years...
...the fear of "hello kitty" pink swords (or sith red and jedi blue and green...) has been cited as argument against it... and then they intruduced rubedite and pale blade styles... making the argument kinda silly. ;)

BtW, one was to play at max level with good looking weapons is going for the agility/endurance/willpower dropped sets from Imperial City. Those look iron/steelish even at CP160... (its what I usually do, because I really, really dislike the bright red weaponry... well... except for my vampire alt that is I guess...)

well rubedo is red-pink, so the weapons made of it are also the same color.
if you want to make weapons with other color, use other (lower level) material
