I've soloed normal dungeons with all my vet chars and it's really easy.

    It is.

Fungal Grotto is the easiest to solo on Veteran
Crypt of Hearts and Vaults of Madness are next Veterans same with blessed Crucible
    CoA 1
    Then Banished Cells
The Whisperer is such a Pain in the Rear!
Tempest Island and Selene's Web are insane solo veteran

If you are on a non-Sorc stamina class, use Rend (dual wield ultimate that gives healing). It'll give you massive heals during trash pulls.

It's still in the works, has not been tested, but I am building a khajiit stamblade WW that wears heavy armor, uses bow and S&S. She's got 30K health already and seems pretty sturdy in PVP yesterday, so if I do test and it works I'll give ya more info. If it doesn't then welp XD
Wishing for Lilmothiit race still! Or maybe Lilmothiit companion?

Good AoE and a self heal and all the part 1 normal modes are easy clears. I do it all the time when I cbf with group finder.

Edit: and I'm just awful at this game, so if I can, anyone can

The key imo is focus on survival first, then damafe with emphasis on aoe.

Any moderste build can put out the damage for normal dungeons but the incoming dmg is pretty high so you need more survivabikity than delves and publics.

    So either of tgese works:
    Shield spam
    Heavy mitigation
    Constant heals in attacks

So any sorcs temp or wardens can work esp with hvy armour but so can nightblades with high mitigate and lotsa swallow soul etc.

Survive and it alk works out with smart play.

When I first started doing them solo I used 2H with brawler. I was surprised how easy it was due to the damage shield. Even Darkshade caverns II. This skill alone will pretty much allow you to do most of them, so you can pretty much build around that, and try to optimize your build for more DPS, but that skill alone will keep you alive through most stuff.

Nowadays i'm using Dual wield, and slot Iceheart set, for some damage shield instead.

Anyway I find damage shields very useful when soloing hard content, as it will save you from some really hard hits also. If you're not in a hurry, start by optimizing your survivability, then tweak for more DPS.

I solo all normal dungeons on a Magblade. Mag temp. And Mag DK. Builds are not that important I never die on any of them so if you know the base mechanics of the game you can figure it out, that is most of the fun anywY

With the current state of various skills, how does one solo the pressure plate room in Direfrost Keep?

I can solo the simplest of vet dungeons with my two different magblades.

    Version 1:
Resto / destro staff with 5 light / 2 heavy

    2 grothdarr
    5 kagrenacs hope
    3 willpower

Mainly before fights i cast shields (annulment + resto ward) and trigger magicka detonation + blood altar to stay inside.

Main dps skill is swallow soul

More or less the same with boss fights.

    Being vampire helps a lot.

    Version 2: (healer build)
    Resto / 1h+s

    2 chokethorn
    5 kagrenacs hope
    3 willpower

I find this build lot easier to solo pretty much anything, altought it does only around 10k damage.

    Resto:
Funnel health / mutagen / sap essence / healing ward / healing springs / ultimate: soul siphon

    1h+s
Annulment / siphoning strikes / structured entropy / refreshing path / orbs / ultimate: consuming darkness

Mobs are pretty much: entropy - funnel - path - sap essence - sap essence - sapsapsap

Funnel being my main dps skill. This build rarely runs out of health / resources.
    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

Nightblade-Hipster. I played Nightblade before it was cool - from 1.5 onwards.

You can solo Fungal Grotto by 2 applying enough delayed damage like DoTs, pets or procs to kill them.
You can solo Direfrost Keep by opening first lever through the gate (the opposite way you would return from the boss room) and then kill the boss through the second gate, kill yourself, respawn, use teleport to get into his room and open the lever

I have never heard of someone soloing Wayrest 2. And if it was ever possible it was pre Morrowind and not possible now imo.

I've had good success solo norm/vet dungeons with this Magplar build:
    • x5 Kagrenac (good mix of offense, defense and regen but Julianos or any typical Magplar set would work).
    • x3 Willpower (mix of spell damage and Magicka Regen enchants as needed).
    • x2 Grothdar (more DPS) or Valkyn (more health) as needed
    • VMA Destruction and Restoration Staves

You just need a bit more health (I like 20-25k) and more Magicka Regen (as much as you need to not go OOM on long boss fights). Besides that beating most dungeons is mostly a matter of learning the mechanics and handling large groups of mobs. There are some dungeons that are impossible or almost impossible to beat solo...check out @Vaoh excellent posts/videos for ideas on beating these (some are only possible on a Mag Sorc unfortunately).
Would it kill you to make a few friends and form a party to achieve the objectives of the game? .... just saying.

No idea about vet but a heavy attack magic sorc with two lighting aoe, a shield and a couple of buffs will just about do it. I just wanted to know what the story was as everyone just skips it if they have run the dam thing hundreds of times. I wish a YouTube type would do a video with all the dialogue included, I'd deffinately watch that

If you want an easy build to solo on, 2h and bow 7 medium stamina sorc. Brawler, surge, rally, vigor. You are impossible to kill with anything but a one shot.

Recommended gear is 5 hundings (including one weapon), 5 vicious ophidian OR if you aren't trial ready yet, 3 jewels and two body of marksman. One monster head or shoulder (head easier to farm and can be hidden: recommend Kra'gh from vet fungal grotto, which you can definately solo to get the helm lol).

Bonus points if you're a nord or imperial, as those races get decent defensive boosts (max health on both, 6% dmg reduct on Nord).

Just so happens I have a Stam sorc. I assume dw/bow, though I have wondered what a heavy armor s&b Stam sorc would play like.

Alcast has two stam setups for sorc, one DW, and one 2H, both with bow on the back bar.
