First Person Only PvP

I think that a first person only PvP server would be awesome. The second you load in, you're forced to FPV and can't back from it. Many other games, not really MMO's, have this sort of thing. like PUBG is coming out with that soon. I think it adds to the challenge of the PvP side of things, and it'd force you to be more attentive, and skilled. I know it won't happen...and I know a lot of people would complain, but it'd just be a side PvP option, for those who want that "hard mode" experience.

I would at least want to be able to see my toon, even if my vision field was somehow "hard mode"

I can't, I need to have that 360 degree angle round me at all times and have that option to see all around

Skyrim I can 1st person great but ESO I can't

Cool idea, it would be fun and different.

It's probably not enough for a whole other campaign. Maybe if there were some other hard mode rules to go along with it.

I've always hated 1st mode in any game, I don't know why. Maybe it's because I can't even pss with someone staying behind me There are easier ways to make challenging PvP.

Maybe ZOS could make a battlefield map in FPV, and see how people respond. It would be much less of a headache to mess around with one battlefield map then an entire campaign .

Or how about SUPER hard mode where you are not only forced to FPV but you also ONLY SEE THROUGH THE OPENINGS IN YOUR HELMET (Which you can't take off, obviously)

And ULTRA SUPER HARD MODE with friendly fire. Enjoyy those AoE attacks

I've done it . Several things go wrong . First jumping around in impossible for me . I get lost trying to navigate and avoid ground AOE's . Second is I almost never know when to dodge roll so I get knocked down a lot . Third for me is camera shake . Knock downs and Dragon Leaps will leave me in a dizzy haze of disorientation . Last is if I get feared I have no idea and just freak out and wander where I am going and what is happening . My peace tank is the only class I ever did it somewhat successful .

Interesting idea. I think it could really makes much fun.

Problem is the game and pvp isn't really designed for firs person.

Most of the buffs take up like 50% of your screen.

I love playing ESO in first person. A friend of mine and I ocassionally do first person duels and you know what? It is so much more intense and fun! Unfortunately we do not perform as well as we do in 3rd person which forces us to play 3rd person in Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds but eh...

It's just kind of a pitty. First person combat was something the fans back in beta demanded and the devs implemented because of our demands, only for it to go largely unused now.

Could be fun but it would have to be a reduced size campaign. It would have minimum interest for occasional chaos

You can reduce the size of your add-on windows. If you can't, I'd recommend finding a new add-on or play ESO vanilla the way the devs designed it.

ESO is not made for FP. FP in this game is afterthought to cater to skyrim players. It is not just bad, it is nearly impossible. For something so niche that most people would not play it you would have to redesign so many things and create campaign that would be nearly permanently empty.

Your characters in the game is not even looking in same direction when you are standing in first person.

I remember when I started and used FP. I stopped the moment I slotted Camo hunter and noticed I cant see anything because of the effect. That was then I realized this game is not for FP.

First 6 months I played only in FP. It is really cool in PvP, but WAY more difficult. I still have screen shots made from FP PvP

Some friends and I once went through vetWGT in first person, no UI.

It was brutal.

I used to play exclusively first person in PvE and PvP and it was really fun. I stopped because:

• There is no clear indication on the default UI when you are CC'd in any way, combat tips don't count.
• Player mechanics while rooted are so wonky with directional targeting that sometimes you'll look at a target and abilities won't fire.
• Player models lack physics with each other, so other players can run straight inside my character model where I can't aim at them.
• Virtually every magicka DK uses talons and then runs right up into your back, a summation of all 3 points above.
