Last I checked, when you're dual wielding 2 weapons, you do get a 2 pc set bonus.... unless you want each wep to count as 2 pieces, then that is just stupid.

It does give dual wield and sword and board a slight advantage for set bonuses versus two-handed users. And a system that makes two-handed weapons, individually, carry two separate set bonuses or count as a double set piece is limited still because you couldn't, say, pick two separate sets on one staff.

Not game breaking, but slightly imbalanced. Worked originally when some sets where only three piece or four piece for max benefits, but when almost all were converted to 5 piece it got a little more complex.

Another option is a off-hand slot holder for two-handed weapons. Archer's grip, two-handed sword lanyard, healer's relic, mages crux, etc. Lots of games add a second slot item (not necessarily for set pieces like ESO, but to balance bonuses like stats, etc).

Either way, it's something that has been heavily discussed since beta and will probably continue to be discussed. Worth a change and rebalance, additional assets, etc? Probably not. Worth it for those of us who are annoyed by the lack of balanced stats? Yeah, worth it. Obsessive disorder is a ***.

Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

By that logic, we could have a nice 10 ring set.

A better question is, should Staff and 2H count as two set pieces?

The answer to all three is: YES. Yes they SHOULD.

Maybe make two handed stuff count as zero set slots? That way people could have two full 5 piece sets and not need to stress about wasted spare pieces.

Screw it. No sets. Also everybody gets exact same stats of nice number of 100.

Dual wield should count as it's own 5 pc set cause reasons and 2H should be half a set piece which actually negates the first trait on your other 5pc.
