Active ESO players, what is the MAIN reason that makes you play this game?

Not entirely sure why it has kept my interest so long, but mainly I enjoy the PVP combat system and the Elder Scrolls setting. There is a lot of flexibility in this system compared to other games and it's fun to try different build ideas.

Playing with friends, but most of them have left or are leaving after sustain nerfs in Morrowind patch.

I'm both very critical and supportive of the game, and despite its shortcomings I still am very much enjoying ESO gameplay.

My friends, one on particular. If they would quit I wouldn't even look back. For me the game changes have pushed me away, the constant lag, loading screens, and countless other issues. Plus, after playing a game for over 3 years it just looses its new car smell.

I play to complete. I did play for vet trials and things, but whiners in the game ruin it, And since morrowind drops I didn't want to put in the 4 hours a day on my rotation again to get it to where it was before when there just going to keep nerfing everything we work on. We are not really elite, and most of us had ok DPS before. And since my guild doesn't allow pet builds, it's hard to find enjoyment in trials because there are tons of things that eso has screwed up. So now I just achievement hunt since there never seems to be anyone in guild chat since morrowind dropped. Seems like everything just dropped right off. But the constant lag on Xbox is pushing me away. Some days I don't even pick up the game because I spend most of my time freezing and jumping on the screen. And I have 150 mbs internet, so it's just not enjoyable

One of the main reasons is the TES IP. One of the reasons I enjoy it so much is the khajiit, and TES games are the only place where I can play as one, another is that TES is one of the series that I think does medeval fantasy the best.

Your guild doesn't allow pet builds? What is this blasphemy!? There's other guilds out there that will let you run whatever the hell you want lol

At the end of the day, it's the other players in the game. There are many layers to this statement, but if the whole game only had me in it, I wouldn't be playing it nearly everyday after 3 years.

The story is the sole reason I got it. It gave me the chance to truly make my characters my own. Have them develop as the story progresses. It gave me a reason to start writing again, writing their stories, their personalities. It gives me a certain creative freedom that I relish in. And it just keeps going.

I've no idea why I keep playing this game. I'm finding out that I'm really not that good at it and it becoming way less fun.

I just saw an episode of modern family and al bundy was telling his kid about midlife crisis. Took a month off work and played golf. The one of the pros at the club sees him one day and says " You're not very good at this".

I play all aspects of the game: questing, crafting, PvP, 4 man and 12 man veteran content. I don't RP, because I don't like it but I gave my chars lore appropriate names.

It's a beautiful game world and I haven't seen everything there is to see yet. I will put up with a lot while that still holds my interest, it's much more important to me than combat or any other aspect of the game.

This one got caught because she absolutely loves The Elder Scrolls. She was very exited to go out adventuring again and the opportunity to meet new, wonderfull people was a great bonus. This one will stay for many moons to come because of this!

My main reason is the general gameplay, it's fun, lots of fun. The two most recent games I've played in the last few years were Destiny and Elite Dangerous. While both are very different, I started to find Destiny to be repetitive and Elite Dangerous, as much as I love flying in space, felt like something was missing. I think E:D could be great one day but it doesn't currently hold my attention like ESO does.

Beyond that I love the graphics, lore, crafting and being able to group with my wife. I see myself playing this for many years, many, many years.
