Nightblade skills which deserve to be buffed

There are many skills in the game which are totally useless or are simply outclassed by others This is the same for almost any skill line.

Nightblade
Chimera: a very bad morph which gives you a minor defensive buff that doesn't really help anyone. Change it that your damage is decreased by 15% ( stackable with minor maim) but for every attack you dodge you gain 200 stam and magicka
---> ability for sap tanking

Concealed weapon: it should be the bread and butter of the magicka nb but it lacks damage and has a mechanic attached to it that your character turns to your enemy very slowly and attacks afterwards. The problem with this is that in cyro even small lags can make the skill useless because it doesn't hit reliably.
Change it that light and heavy attacks scale now with your highest stats regardless of the weapon you are holding.+ the radius in which you can use the attack should be increased by 30°

> damage increases, meele magnb is viable again

Agony and morphs: the skill has no usage in any content. The dot is weak, the cc breaks by any dot without draining stam, the cost is high.
Remove the cc part of the base morph and increase the dot damage by 40%
Prolonged Suffering: should stay the same with the same 40% damage increase like the base version
Malefic Wreath: Deals no more damage but spawns a totem that restores 120 mag and stam to you and any ally in a 6 m radius for any enemy in the radius. Stacking up to 4 times and ticks every 1.5 sec

Power Extraction the worst aoe skill in the game. The tooltip of it is 4 damage higher than the tooltip of sap essence with exactly the same stamina and magicka + weapon damage and spell damage.
The ability should cost less for every enemy hit (100 stam stacking up to 6 times)
And the damage should be increased along with a dot that deals 3k dmg over 1.5 sec

    We once had siphoning strikes, and it got killed like nothing else before. The reworked version is kinda okayish but it needs additional tweaks as it basicly enforces you to use
    light attacks and has zero effect on heavy attacks. Believe me ZOS, every NB Tank, knows how and when to light attack weave.

    Suggested tweaks:
    - both morphs should return 200 stam/mag on light attack.
    - both morphs should return 400 stam/mag on Heavy attack
    - the heal should be at least tripled when using a heavy attack. (similar to the warden(he got a skill where la heals and ha attack heals for even more
    and to encourage heavy attacking)
    - heavy attacks should be executed 35% faster (similar to "Haste" we had in the beginning and to fit your vision of nb´s being fast and such.
    - light/heavy attacks should proc the passive "Soul Siphoner" as long as Siphoning Strikes & morphs is up.

    Thats it for the ressource management part.


    Nightblade Tank suggestions

    Summon Shade -> Dark Shades
    You mentioned in the patch 3.0.5 Notes that NB Tanks use Path & Shades to keep a 100% uptime on Shadow Ward. Therefore i think you should add something to the
    Shades to make it a considerable choice compared to heroic slash (what almost all nb tanks use, since shades dont offer that much). Let me elaborate:

    Shadow Ward can be kept up with path alone after the recent chanced to the passives duration wich was a huge improvement. Thanks for that.
    Here are my suggestion s to improve the Dark Shades and give Nb tanks something unique.

    - Should apply minor main to max 3 enemys in a 5 meter radius (splashdmg type thing). Would be a must have change to make it a competitor to heroic/deep slash
    so nb tanks have something unique to them as u once said class skills should be something special.
    - should either offer dmg mitigation for the caster or apply minor fracture/breach (to have a alternative to templers casting it). One of those two and the skill
    shoul be pretty fine.

    Drain Power -> Power Extraction
    As stated somewhere above, this skill should get a additional effect and that would be a max 4 seconds lasting slow to get a bit more of battlefield control.
    If u want to add a little bit more power to it (dmg is not worth mentioning as a tank) the skill could give wep/spell dmg to the group for a short period of time.

    Those changes coupled with the change to silver leash & swarm mother would bring nb tanks up with a special flavor and would not make them to powerfull.

    Nightblade Tank Synergyoptions for the group

    Well the only synergys we can offer are tied to 2 of our 3 ultimate abilitys. The perfect candidate for a synergy would be path(shadow skill line).
    To do this you are free to remove the synergys from our 2 ultimates.

    Veil of Blades should get a passive 8%dmg mitigation for being slotted. With the removal of the synergy this would make the skill worth more.

    General Nightblade Suggestions

    Grim Focus:
    - Increase the duration by 4-5 seconds or let it be ready after 4 Light Attacks. That way you ensure we can fire 3 Spectral Arrows resulting in more dps wich
    NB needs a bit to get more in line with the other classes as Damge Dealer.

    Mark Target:
    - The perfect candidate to implement "minor stamina steal(returns 300 stam per attack)". That would give u the option to lessen the gap in the ability cost between
    mag and stam (stam actually 15% cheaper). In addition the skill should be available in a weapon skill line. Perfect candidate would be 2Hands Cleave Skill.
    This would encourage 2Handed as more of a support weapon since it would be too good if it was in the dw skill line.

    Criple -> Debilitate: Make it a stammorph as it would fit the theme you see for Nightblades. Would also help stam nb dps to close the gap a bit. This idea was
    basicly posted for ages among the nb community.

    Cloak & Morphs: oh boy.......can we have the skill work like in the old days? Wouldnt mind a cost increase like Streak has to prevent spamming.

    Passives: since you said in eso live that you want nb´s to be sneaky, hard to catch and to pin down, "minor evasion" should be put in as a passive to fit your vision.

    I would just be happy with a ranged Ultimate. :(

    I know not all classes are meant to have everything but it would be nice to have access to a ranged ultimate that does magic damage.

    My soul mage doesn't like running in to use an ultimate before having to GTFO again.

    Agree with everything except any cost changes to cloak. Don't care for ranged ultimates, but having one ranged and one close seems logical for all classes.

    Siphoning changes were not a fair change. Helping hands was not changed in anywhere near the same way, infact it's now better on my health dk that it was before the change. Wardens being given a passive form of stamina regen whilst removing the NB's was just... sorcs not getting any change was also just so unfair. I can see that the siphoning change can work well for non-tanks, but for tanks it is now simply too much work to enjoy playing. It really has striped the fun out of playing my class, and thus game.

    Please ZoS try out a NB tank, maybe in a vet trial or something like vet DLC dungeon or CoA2 and THEN come back and tell us they are where you want them to be. I personally don't believe the change was tested out on a NB tank, otherwise the (now fixed) leeching block bug would not of got through.

    Except nbs are doing great both on pve and pvp. And where does it comes from that siphoning got killed? Do you even try stuff over here? It's still a very strong skill.

    Siphoning is meh. It used to be strong, and now I contemplate its existence.

    Siphoning worked well for NB tanks, it was the crux of how they worked. We could hold block and cast a damaging spell, this gave us a 10% chance of getting magicka AND stamina back.

    That was completely removed, now we need to light attack to get magicka OR stamina back. I don't really have so much of a problem with this per-se but the change was not across the board. DK was left being able to perma-block and wardens were given the ability to perma-block. The change was to remove perma-block from NB only (and we only had it if the RNG gods were good to you). This made the gap between an NB tank and a DK even larger than it was before.

    Fear, the single target low cost ult and will of assassination. the will deals damage like other ultis and its just a common skill...

    But only nightblades have a damage bonus like hell after using 1 ultimate, which is ready in really short time!

    IMO it would be pretty awesome if power extraction got totally reworked into a usable ability for a stamblade, and it would be even more cool to have a stam morph of twisting path etc.

    Personally I think siphoning is still good. Obviously not as good as it once was but definitely worth slotting. IMO it works best when using it with your off-resource. On my Magblade I sustain my stamina just fine in no-CP with only 10k stam and no added stam recovery (so just sitting at like 600) through the using of Leeching Strikes alone. To me that is pretty powerful. I always have it slotted. But I have seen most stamblades forgoing it so maybe it just isn't synergizing as well with them.

    In my opinion, all I really want on magblade is (besides syphoning which is obviously not coming back) 4 shot proc merciless again.

    Other than that, I guess concealed weapon should be buffed a bit. Imo it should always have been like SA but giving spell pen instead of physical pen.
