It just gets worse when you try to min-max and realise how insanely underpowered it is and you can't do anything about it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wX4w91RKjM
Granted, got orbs for the moondancer procs. But it's just below par the rest of magicka classes. Not saying they are fine, but definetly not as bad as it is said, and most certainly you can do trials with competitive scores.
@Alucardo you said everything, that are also my thoughts about the warden.
Even when Magicka is fun in PvP, execute is missing, also in PvE.
Was told to switch off my warden for my trial group vHoF, because the DMG of the warden is far lower than with my sorc. Bear is senseless there, always dying...
Sad story from a warden. A buff would be very good.
I think they are just taking it's time and carefully evaluating warden's performance. As it's being currently discussed mwarden pvp might be a bit on the strong side, and any pve buff can only pushed them over that side even more, unless we see a larger update to them. Which needs more time to think about. This patch wasn't one regardng class balance, and with so much going on with traits, mundus and set pieces I think it was the right call.MLGProPlayer wrote: »@Alucardo you said everything, that are also my thoughts about the warden.

There is absolutely no way to achieve viable endgame DPS with magicka warden.
You can get around 35k with the bear, but that's essentially 35k single target damage. A stamina character can hit 45k single target. Replace the bear with destro ult and you're struggling to hit 30k DPS while all the other magicka classes can comfortably hit 37-40k.
It's a shame because it's a fun class to play. I'm really not sure why ZOS continues to ignore it. Templars can heal and DPS. Why can't wardens do both?
That would be pretty cool. Arctic Wind is currently a really underwhelming skill in my opinion, worth the rework.Waffennacht wrote: »Give artic wind the hurricane treatment. Either buff it and keep it scaling to health, or make it scale to magicka spell DMG. I seriously believe a re work of this ability can pump the dps of PvE into competition and in PvP can make a whole new build of wardens possible.

The warden is my preferred healer now. People get fat off of the amount of buff and heal I throw their way. I'm still healing the random vet dungeon team I played with yesterday and I'm at work now. *inbox is filling up with request and 50 dollar gift card numbers as we speak *whispers 50 dollar gift card numbers

There are many issues here:
1. This assumes you will have Necrotic Orbs on demand exactly when you need them. Because of this, slotting 5x Moondancer is perfectly reliable here.
2. Bear Ult is slotted, which increases DPS by a decent amount against a target skeleton. This will never be slotted in any semi-serious Trial scenario. You'll be using Northern Storn+Elemental Rage/Shooting Star
3. The player is fighting at a range which increases Cliff Racer DPS by a whole 15%. In a trial, this will be based on necessary positioning, and won't always be achievable.
Granted, the player herself actually did a great job, and I truly applaud her for trying to make it work as best as possible. The issue is that a Warden has to have all of these buffs and effort invested to put out decent DPS. Under those same circumstances, any other class could put out significantly more DPS.
If you aren't caring about Vet trials, then Magicka Warden is fine. Until ZOS at least bug fixes Swarm and Winter's Revenge, Mag Warden DPS should not be brought into serious runs.
I think the vocal minority screaming over Mag Warden in PvP is halting any further buff
