How much more are you likely to spend money in Crown Store if ZOS added your alts to your Home

[Just to be clear, assume you would NOT need to pay for an update that allows your alts to be placed in hour home. Money spent mentioned below would be directly related to one's desire to buy more of the typical cosmetic items to show off your alts. For example you may want to buy personalities that you never looked at before, so that your alts could look different from one another. Or you might consider buying more character slots just so you could place more of your "crew" inside your home.]

Your alts would act more or less like your "crew" hanging out at your home. Assume your crew will look very much alive with their own personalities and emotes. Imagine the potential. You can invite your guests over to show off not just your home, but all of your characters as well. Even your mules will be much more significant than before.

I can totally see this increasing ZOS revenue through increased sales in ESO Housing, Personalities, Character Slots, Costumes, Hair Styles, etc.

What the hell would I want to clutter up my house with alts for? Already no one but me goes there, besides, they would take up a slot, and we are woefully short already.

Why would I want to pay money to put my own alts in my house? If that became I thing I should be able to place them w/o further spending via collections items in the housing editor.

I never said you'd have to pay to put your own alts in a house. What I'm saying is that you would spend more money on things like costumes and personalities as a result of this added function (free) to your home.

What's sad is I'm not being negative or whiny about it. I was like everyone else , but its been here awhile. Now do something with it! Remove item limits , add storage! Something , anything!

I laugh at players spending crazy gold on patterns or whatever on something you can't even use 99% of the time. Boggles the mind.

I think the aging housing issues cancel out whatever other potential housing might have, and as a result making this poll rather moot.

Oddly expressed OP and poll I'm afraid. On the one hand you ask how much we'd spend and set different amounts for the update, while on the other hand saying the update would be free.

My position is quite clear but not covered by the poll options. The free update permitting the display of alts in my houses would appeal to me greatly, but I wouldn't have any interest in spending anything arising from it. I have no interest in personalities or housing-related character slots etc. While I'd quite like to see my characters in my houses nobody else visits them.

Even then, I'd be far more interested in a base game update that permitted characters on one of my accounts to visit any of the houses on my other account rather than just an artificially determined "primary residence". That would be infinitely more useful.

I would spend a small amount for the cosmetic benefit, but substantially more for a substantive benefit (e.g., the ability to interact with the alt's inventory or the ability to change characters just by telling them to take over, without needing to log out and in).

I'm not going to stop paying my rent or skip grocery shopping so that I can have more stuff in a video game. If you're seriously that poor, #1 I'm sorry, and #2 maybe you should spend less time gaming and more time earning money.

I'm not at all judging you, I used to be dirt poor myself. But when I was dirt poor, I didn't have a 50" screen TV, broadband internet and a high tech gaming machine... I had ramen noodles and a roof over my head.

For me this would be a reward for all the hard earned money I've already spent on cosmetics. Id love to be able to show off my toons and mental rp them visiting and or living with each other.

Each toon has a hair tattoo costume pet mount accessories personality and build unique to them and i want them to be in the same worldspace at the same time.

I figured as much, but the sad part is that some people probably are skipping meals just so they can buy an extra crown crate this month. That's not just speculation on my part, there are people here commenting that they wish they had saved their crowns and/or they wish X limited time item came out later, because they don't get paid for two more weeks, etc. Anyone who is living paycheck to paycheck like that should not be spending that much money on virtual items - honestly they'd probably be better off just buying drugs.

It was a half joke. Different people spend money on different things to make themselves happy. Addiction is a real problem. I mentioned drugs because I think perhaps the only thing worse than being addicted to real things, is being addicted to virtual things. Though perhaps it's in poor taste to get into such a discussion on an ES forum. Just say no to skooma. The point I was trying to make is that no one should ever put video games, or gambling, above their own well-being. Yet many people do, unfortunately.

I apologize, I didn't mean to derail the thread. Let's get back on topic. It would be awesome if we could put our alts in our houses. I don't have any alts presently, but if or when I do, that would be a nice feature. Though like I said, it would not influence the amount of money I spend on the game, as most of my crowns go towards buying and furnishing properties, not filling them with "lifeless" people.

My characters don't know each other so I wouldn't use this feature. And even getting features that I would use wouldn't incentivize me to throw more money at ZOS than I otherwise would.

No it wouldnt. It would be rather useless. I go to my house maybe once a week....aside from the target dummy for testing DPS, there is nothing there I can't get at a hub city more conveniently. Now...if they made The crown store merchant able to repair and the crown store banker able to access guild bank/store, THAT would be a game changer.

You're nearly saying the same thing, to have those functions in your house you need the crown store NPCs thus the crown store NPCs would need those functions. And I go to my house nearly daily because I've collected inconvenient crafting stations (armor master, clever alchemist, tava's, and several others) so there's far more reason to go there than just dps tests.

If such a thing were introduced it REALLY better be a toggle or I'll have to stop doing housing completely and given I already barely do anything else it might've finally pushed me off the game lol.
