Black Marsh

Is anyone else really fascinated with the Black Marsh? I am excited to see what the developers make if it when they release it. I have been reading a ton of lore and the environment will be so interesting. I hope they incorporate the different tribes and various myths. As a Dark Brotherhood fanatic, I am ready to see what they make of Shadowscales as well. Thoughts?

Agreed. I'd really like to know a bit more of the ruling powers in Black Marsh.

I actually have to be a grump and agree with this. Swamps have never appealed to me and Shadowfen was the zone I hated most.

Still I look forward to seeing what ZOS does with it over all and hopefully they'll change my mind.

ZoS's background art for the Ruins of Mazzatun. It looks gorgeous and gives us a taste of what Black Marsh proper looks like. A Mountainous Rain Forest intermingling with Marshlands. Like the Amazon!

If it's just going to be dodging more alligators and kagoutis, then I'd rather see a different area, like the Summerset Isles, Elsweyr, West Skyrim or even the Maormer's homeland. If they work hard to make it unique and interesting and different from Shadowfen, then absolutely yes, that would be fantastic.

I feel the same way about the Summerset Isles ... they'd have to work hard to make it unique and different from Auridon.

This one finds the idea intriguing, although feeling wet fur all the time is less than comfortable... Still, this one is looking forward to exploring this land if the caravan that takes him there has reasonable prices.

I love farming in Shadowfen, those swamps really relaxes me. I can't wait for Murkmire, Argonian expansion would be fulfillment of my dreams.

I would love to see this. If you subtract all the *#% alligators, Shadowfen might be my top zone to go to just for a wander (before Vvardenfell, anyway). The setting and atmosphere are great.

I wouldn't mind an expansion on the positive Argonian part of ESO (not the part involving dark elves).

Funny thing, when I first envisioned this game, I imagined HUGE sprawling sand dunes in the Alik'r you had to traverse to get between cities. I overestimated the scale of the game, everything's much smaller to save file size. Such a pity, I'd actually really enjoy having to explore vast landscapes between quest hubs.

I used to look forward to it, but after seeing how they handled Morrowind, I'm not too sure how excited I could be for it now. I'd rather it be the next standalone game in the Elder Scrolls saga.

I agree. Though I do at least appreciate that you get your bang for your buck when it comes to varied environments and not just Skyrim's Mountain, trees, more mountains, snow, grass, grassy mountains, snowy trees, rocky snow-- which would've made me quit too. I'd love to see it somewhere in the middle. Larger maps, but still some of this variety.

I don't know enough about Argonian culture to really get excited about it. That's the problem with most of it being a big question mark, for other regions I can think of at least one feature or landmark and think, 'Yes, I get to see THAT in the new zone!' But Black Marsh for me is a blank slate, and a blank slate isn't a very interesting read.

That said, I didn't know anything about Craglorn when it came out, and it turned out to have my favorite plotline to date so...we'll see?
