I don't care that a noob can just get lots of gold and buy BiS gear. I don't care that some idiot scum is out there farming it and making real world money off of it or some idiot is buying it for real world money. I don't care that some elitists would be upset. I just want to be able to play my favorite game without spending useless hours trying to get BiS gear...again so I can enjoy more time doing other things. Like...shocker...playing my free time after work on a game I enjoy. I'm almost out of darkshade with all my divine netches but I don't feel like I earned anything. I just feel like the knucklehead that wasted dozens of hours repeating content over and over. Title says it all. Just make it happen ZOS before you lose more than one fun and entertaining YouTuber in Nebraska. Ps to stop the trolls...I have beaten vma multiple times on a stamblade and no I don't care that someone could just buy or sell my gear I worked so hard at getting. Seriously...I do not care.

Well whenever I get a piece, I consider to potentially be decent at some point, I store it.
Got all the ebon, netch or BSW accessories this way, without having to farm. Only by pledges and random dungeons.

Just don't put a hassle on yourself, 1 piece of gear won't make or break you.


And yes : no to "everything BOE"
ESO is already way less restrictive in terms of gear making it bound to your account, compared to other games, where everything is BOP-characterbound

ESO is already way less restrictive in terms of gear making it bound to your character, compared to other games, where everything is BOP-characterbound

This is what I do. Much less stressful. Just wish I had remembered to do so with Bone Pirate..

LOL...yeah there are definitely people on these forums who would rather you experience the misery they endured with aspects of this game instead of discussing ways to eliminate the misery. This game definitely needs some changes to its structure so that people can spend more time enjoying the content they like instead of mindlessly grinding for gear. And like you say OP, one big step in that direction is to make more gear BoE.

Let people enjoy the game on their own terms. If someone wants to farm mats for 100 hours and then turn around and use the profit from that to buy epic gear...well it doesn't affect my playstyle...so no reason for me to yell and scream that they have to acquire epic gear the same way I did.

Well I'm not one of them. I'm almost done and want to make it so nobody ever has to do it again. City of ash for bsw? Check. VMA for lightning and flame staves and bow and dual wield? Check. Nobody should have to suffer like that ever again!

Gold can easily be acquired and making the game predominantly BoE sends the game in a horrible direction.

A brighter idea is to push for better RNG for more desirable traits; not what you're suggesting. For now, just keep putting the effort in - or don't.

I already have nearly every Best in Slot Bind in Pickup set in the game, and I still agree with you.

The only people that will argue with you on this one are stingy/greedy people who already have their gear, and want it to be that much harder for everyone else.

All the farming I had to do... I wish that upon no-one.

Making dungeon gear BoE should increase the pool of players queuing for dungeons. People will farm the sets in high demand to get the cash. And it would reward players skillful enough to complete the hardest dungeons. As it stands now, there's no reason to go back in a dungeon once you get the items you want. In fact, I avoid them like the plague. Because by the time you've grinded out the set you want, the dungeon is worn out and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Or a way to improve jewelry at least. My stam character still running around with two purple VO rings and one gold neck lol. Not grinding any more vet trial ever. Impossible to find a group after 11:00 pm and vet trial guilds are like a weird school yard social ladder.

Players: can we at least get BoE trial gear?

ZOS: lololol no. We require you to have friends...even though the game literally requires you to sit at a screen by yourself to play...
