I was going to make a smart remark about tinfoil being on sale this week but Turelus beat me to it. lol
I've joked in so many threads about investing in shares for a foil company, sometimes I really wonder if I should...

Heres a thought... maybe, just maybe... its not exactly how OP see's it, maybe its aimed primarily at the the thousands of new players who jumped onboard at the Morrowind release (practical marketing decisions are not unheard of) and us who already have ESO+ get a sweetener out of it also.. I know it seems ridiculously absurd does'nt it that there could be more reasons than OP thinks for the marketing push.

Probably just trying to promote it and give more reason to log in during a holiday week on one of the servers. Regardless of the NA holiday, makes sense to give non subs a taste of the crafting bag and extra bank space.

Heck, double bank space may have saved ESO+. Who knows. I could be wrong.

Well it's hurting housing system. I'm guessing they;ve chosen not to give housing storage because that'd ruin yet another part of ESOplus.

Honestly the subscription model is dying, and it's dying fast.

I doubt Zos gave a second thought to adding storage to housing as some have requested. Based on how bank and bag space works it's a fantasy to think we'd be able to craft away and add a large amount of storage space in housing.

If storage was ever added to housing it would work and be priced like our bag and bank storage scale.

Storage isn't going to happen in Housing because it would hurt sales of the Banker NPC. Effectively it is the ONLY method of having some sort of storage in your homestead. Without it having a crafting center setup in your home just feels utterly pointless because you still have to teleport to a city with a bank to do anything with the items you've crafted in it.

Also.. yep, I cancelled my ESO+ the moment this chapter business was announced. Will I ever subscribe again for anything? I'm not sure but for now the answer is a big no, because I have no faith in this company to not leave me feeling burned. But if it's any consolation I bought Morrowind on sale, and saved myself $75 so far by not subscribing.

You can complain all you want but it means nothing if you're handing over a check while doing it.

Storage in housing has nothing to do with the banker npc. What players have clamored for was completely separate.

Players buy the banker mostly to have access to the bank wherever they are.

    I sub because:
    • Playing Pretty Princess Dressup is too much fun when you have tons of costumes that can be dyed freely
    • The amount of semi-usable gear will keep going up so I having that double bank space is definitely a boon for being subbed.
    • I hoard everything so the craft bag is a life-saver

They should totally offer a free crate for every day you are subbed... just in general!

For the tinfoil fans this could mean that the reason for this is:
    - to show new players DLC content
    - to advertise ESO+
    - to advertise Crown crates

For me this seems a good thing:
    - I get my mats moved away from my inventory and bank for free
    - I get to try DLC dungeons a bit more
    - My characters will get new colors for their costumes
    - I get to add more furnishings to my Imperial Large Home
    - My alts will finally get blade of woe and hopefully I'll have enough time to grind for shadowy supplier for my alts

All in all, this seems to be a good thing for many of us - might be even better than a free weekend with ESO.

Honestly I just subscribed for the costume coloring  once I color all my costumes I might unsubscribe.

    Then your costume colors disappear.

False. Just can't change it without crown dyes

    Not true.

Thanks for letting me know. I assumed that.

You think Zenimax isn't aware that Homestead's only source of a storage system is currently the banker NPC? Come on now.. use some common sense and intelligence. I've never even considered getting that thing until I put in crafting into my homestead and realized its the only source of storage that exists, or will ever exist according to their current plans.
