Back to topic. I have a few guildmates that play from Australia. The most hardcore ones do anything that it is possible to achieve low ping, at any cost be it money or be it systems. Even though they manage to play the game they are saying ofc having major problems in Cyrodiil. The ones that DON'T go to extreme lengths to achieve low ping simply don't bother with Cyrodiil.
What solution do they have to reduce ping ? I Would be interested

I normally get 180ms or so to West Coast games, so I'm thinking they're inland somewhere: used to use Battleping, might give it another go round soon to reduce lag.IvorySamoan wrote: »I'm getting around ~230ms here in NZ, don't seem to get a lot of the problems that are described above: where abouts in the states are the servers, Texas?

Whilst ESO does have it's lag issues.. my fellow Strayans.. you need to understand that you will never ping below 250 on the best of days because it is physically impossible.
Depending on your ISP and how stingy they are with their uphaul wholesale providers. A good ISP might be leveraging an under subscribed submarine cable, whereas certain others may hop through several routes before it's end destination.
Take me for example - I ping on average 270-280. My first few hops back to the international router are only 1ms. Nothing. The ping from here to Singapore is probably another 40ms of that.. but the real kicker is the hop from Singapore to US West Coast. I've never had that hop ping at less than 190ms. Then the ping west to East is something like 30ms.
Remember every tcp syn/ack has to go through all those hops so the ping is an aggregate of all if those. 290ish is completely normal.
999+? Perhaps stop using Optusnet..

Replacing their modem that their internet company gave them for a better one. Subscribing to vpn and other server proxies.
The result for the amount of money spend would be disappointing. I feel for people far away from ESO servers
ESO resently boasted about their account numbers. They should do something about their world wide customers. Maybe go to the extreme on providing better connection for ESO+
