Ebon armory boots do not dye....what the heck ZOS?!?

Seriously. The ebon armory boots are completely "undye'able". When you go to the dye station, there is only even one slot showing to accept a dye, and it doesn't matter what color you put there. The Ebon Armory boots are Julionos white, and there is nothing you can do to change it.

Friends have suggested I get the Santa beard and a hat, dye them red, and change my name to "Santa Tank"....but I'd really rather just be able to dye my boots. I'm feeling a little bit trolled here on this one ZOS.

I have seen players running around with them, and though I was just unaware of some trend. Good to know it is a bug.

It's a bug that happened after the morrowind patch.
I'm sure they know about it, but I highly doubt that at the top of the list of bugs to be fixed.

I've just been wearing costumes until it's fixed.

Can you dye it using the "dye all" option? It's been able to override some dying related bugs in the past.

This is a issue with several sets of gear and costumes. The Glass Shield will not take any dye, and the glass armor will only take a few colors and they are not true either. ZoS has known about the dye issue for years, this is just the newest one. Perhaps they will fix this someday....."Soon"......"No ETA"....... Lmao!

It's also annoying that a lot of monster sets don't color well, and the mercenary style chest piece doesn't color well either. There are others. For some reasons you get these pieces that just don't accept colors in the same way that other armors so.

I was very disappointed to find out how badly the new 'Holiday in Balmora' costume dyed. It doesn't really matter which colors you chose, you're only going to get a washed out, very, very light version of it. No dark colors.

    ???

I'll have to check this out.

I must say that crappy dye-ing is a poor way to encourage costumes. Bad form there.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I have not had this problem. Definitely crafed and dyed my HA Ebony set after Morrowind release. It looks pretty fantastic. (Except, of course, for the absurd red swords.)

I did have only two slots colorable on the gauntlets, though.

Nope, nothing you can do to add color to the white boots. They are just white....still.

That does not work. There is no way to get color on the ebon armory boots since morrowind.

Would you please quit bugging ZOS about this?

They're far, far too busy coming up with and writing code for new things for the Crown Store to be bothered with such trivial things like "the game has many areas that don't work properly".

Kids these days... you're letting your deep entitlement show when you think that just because you pay for something, it should actually work properly.

When will you ever understand that; as long as the Crown Store works properly, and is packed full of real-money vanity objects, then that means that the game is working flawlessly.

ZOS doesn't have time for your petty "bug" reports. they've got a Crown Store to support!

I will tell you all how to dye your boots. In order to do this you need to edit your preset colors. The first preset color will be the overall boot color and so on. When you apply the preset dye color to the boots it will actually dye the boot. It took me a minute to figure this out yesterday when i was upgrading and stuff. Hope this helps everyone out!!
