Massive botting (or cheating) on PS4 going on? [watch video]

Hey there and thanks for reading,

Today I wanted to explore Auridon a bit more and came across a spot full of wolves and bears. There were over 15 people just standing still and heavy attack spamming. Now normally this wouldn't be THAT weird, but they were all lvl3, had a very random name, had 0 trophies on their account, only played ESO according to their account and nobody every replied one of my messages to them. I'd say those are some sort of bots or some macroing technique (I don't have a lot of knowledge about it) that are farming the scraps for dreugh wax, which they will sell for gold and stuff... very unfair!!!!

Please let me know if I totally misread the situation and made to quick of a judgement but this is very weird guys,

Maybe there is hope that PS4 will catch up to ESO PC -- they got bots now too!

It's people wrapping a rubberband accross a controller or taping down the heavy attack to grab agro so the pets do all the killing . AFK leveling is against the rules .

ZOS will take disciplinary actions, but they will never discus the specifics with players that aren't having action taken against their account.

In theory, anyway. I get that they say they'll deal with these, and I understand they do have a lot of information to process through. But, bots have a distressing ability to hang around for months in this game. Even after they've been reported.

Yeah, also seen a few doing there what you are posting. Them just standing up on the high rock/mount ledge and just blasting away. Also, lot others are busting up those bears at the Bearclaw mine in Stormhaven. So, I wonder when ZOS/dev will put their hands in this and implement a countermeasure. People, people.. always looking to one up something. Ha ha

Yea that´s botting for sure. Difference between a bot and a farmer is that a bot will often run around to each spawn location/or auto attack at the same spot. A legit farmer will run around light attack at each spawn and make them come to a small area and aoe them down.

Another thing with bots is that they often have very wierd names like os<ffsjnfs182 (something i wrote when smashing stuff on my keyboard at random).

Hahahaha! Disciplinary actions? Really? I have a thread open pointing exactly where the same bots are killing wolves and they are still there after two years.

These people are gold farming.
They sell all items but the raw mats to a pocket merch
(which I've said it only exists for gold farmers many times before)
They will sell the mats in a guild trader for around 5k on PS4
They will then sell you the gold for IRL money
There is nothing Zenimax can do about this

You too can do this
Just find a dozen or so friends
spend about a half to an hour farming
The loot stays on the ground for about 10 min if I remember it right
every 5 to 6 min just rotate who goes to loot the dead
oh yeah have a merch your going to need it
I wouldn't suggest selling the gold though
but you will have plenty of raw mats and gold when your done.

That is not the only place they do this
I've seen them in other districts as well

Yeah I have also seen them at bankorai, too bad ZOS won't can't do anything about these bots. Reported them and hopefully they will be banned.

I would not say this is new on PS4
