"Ghost Gate" in Morrowind

I'm beginning to think that this "Ghost Gate" truly is a ghost -- a see-through ghost that floats from place to place. I wanted to complete the Seven Graces (Pilgrimage of The Seven Graces) quest by visiting all of the Shrines associate with the quest. I've visited all but the Shrine of Pride which I keep hearing is behind this "Ghost Gate." Try Googling to get information on how to find this gate and 10 people will give you 10 different directions. I and a guild-mate of mine spent two hours looking for it and I spent another 3 hours on my own. I'm beginning to think it's a phantom gate that doesn't actually exist or that it moves from place to place.

On a different note, I'm also looking forward to the day that ZOS will allowing their paying customers to collect Coldwind's Skull in Wrothgar but I'm not holding my breath.

ESO is hundreds of years before that Ghost Gate is even built. It's not in this game.

The shrine of Pride was indeed behind the ghost gate in the Original Morrowind but the ghost gate has not been built yet in this time.

The shrine is instead at another known shrine location
Its at mount Kand, north of Molag Mar

Are you talking about the Pilgrimage shrines? I visited all seven without going through a "Ghost Gate."

What exactly is a Coldwind's Skull?

If i remember correctly, the Ghost Gate, along with the Ghost Fence, doesn't exist in the timeline of ESO, which is why you haven't been able to locate it. I'm gonna assume that the shrine existed in TES: 3 to and that's where you've gotten the information from.

This should be able to help you:

Yes ... the Pilgrimage shrines. When you look in your "Achievements" guide you'll see that there are seven shrines. I 6 of the 7. The Shrine of Pride is missing. When you do a Google search there are several individuals who tell you that it's just south of this place or just north of that place (places that are actual locations on the current Vvardenfell map). However none of the "leads" actually lead to the shrine of Pride.

Coldwind's Skull is the final Relic after you complete the Relic Hunter quest in Orsinium. You visit the Tomb of Cold Wind to claim it. There are 4 items that need to be picked up then placed in their proper setting. However, the game will only allow you to pick up and place one item. This glitch makes it impossible to finish the quest.

Just a note for those who google and are not obsessive in their search terms. When looking for anything related to Morrowind or Vvardenfell be sure to preface the terms with ESO as in ESO Pilgrimage Shrines lest you fetch up in the future unable to ever return.

Lalin del Sombra - Bosmer Sorcerer (alchemy/enchanting)
    Angevin Sarkany - Bosmer Dragonknight
Alkemene Velothi - Dunmer Warden (Morrowind)
Sanna yos'Phalen - Altmer Sorcerer (provisioning)
    Cosima di Mattina -Altmer Sorcerer
    Naria Andrano - Dunmer Templar

Agreed. I just took a look at this thread/post: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/346568/vvardenfell-morrowind-the-pilgrims-path-achievement-shrines-of-the-seven-graces

It explained where the shrine was without mention of a "Ghost Gate." I just found the shrine and finished the quest.

These people dont even know what Ghost Gate is, and they claim themselves experts on elder scrolls, or have played Morrowind.

One of the few MAJOR aspects in the game of Morrowind, due to it missing, it takes away a big portion of the vibe of the Morrowind nostalgia.

but the ghost gate has not been built yet in this time.

So I got here wondering where the Ghostfence was as I'm just playing the Morrowing ESO expansion ATM... Soz for the nec

ESO takes place around 2E 583, The Ghost Gate/Fence was erected just after the Battle of Red Mountain which took place in 1E 700... As the first Era lasted 2920 years that's about 2800 years before the events of ESO... The Ghost Gate should exist.

    Quite the necro.

But your timeline is also incorrect for the Ghostfence. Here's the one from TES III Morrowind: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dagoth_Ur's_Plans

From there, we see that Dagoth Ur and his kin reawaken in 2E 882. THe Tribunal then campaigns against them, but fails to make much progress.

From Vivec's dialogue in TES III: "In the past, the Tribunal made seasonal campaigns to Red Mountain. We slew Dagoth Ur and his kin, though the Heart always revived them in time. Later, when we realized we couldn't destroy them, we created the Ghostfence to contain the threat. These solutions were effective until Dagoth Ur ambushed us and captured Sunder and Keening. Since that time, our fortunes have waned as his increased.""

So at some point between 2E 882 and 3E 417 (when the tools are stolen), the Tribunal builds the Ghostfence to contain Dagoth Ur and his blight.

Since ESO takes place in 2E 582, Dagoth Ur has not yet awakened to trouble the Tribunal, so the Ghostfence has not yet been built.

Now, i'm not certain about the Ghostgate because the only online reference I can find is that it was constructed after the War of the First Council in the first era, but I don't see an in-game source for me to check: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Ghostgate

    stuff

    Well fair enough then.
It's just a bit strange that many of the wikis say "after the War of the First Council" which implies in the following years, not 2000+ after the war, I mean technically it's inclusive, but general English implies soon after.

As far as I was concerned Ghost Gate and Fence are essentially the same thing.
I've been on the Fandom Wiki and it also says "sometime after the Battle of Red Mountain in 1E 700 to contain the minions of Dagoth Ur"
I guess maybe the Wikis need a bit more of a clarification...

As a side note, I have no idea why my post was deleted...
