Actually had to look up what Pacific Standard was. I never bothered with the UTC codes.

I started out with PST, EST, etc but there are SO many different time zones called so many diff names, meaning UTC+x could have more than one names. So I just ended going with these dry abbreviation with numeric.

Depends on the time of year, I switch between UTC-8 and UTC-7 (DST). Right now, though, I'm in UTC-7.

Eastern US, so either UTC-5 or UTC-4 depending on DST. Since those are separate polling responses, and I don't actually know whether DST is on or off right now, I elected not to respond to the poll

A while back (about a year I think) we had polls all on the same night about what sex/gender are you, how old are you, what country are you in, what are your other hobbies...

Someone put up a 'what is your credit card number, expiry date and security code' topic. People were freaking out because they thought some of the answers might be real.

(On a serious note I understand the worry, I remember the days of "OMG do not ever tell anyone online your real name or what country you're in or they'll find and kill you!", curiously also the days when every conversation started with "A/S/L?" but as long as you don't post the same info you use for 'secret' questions to recover passwords or actual identifying info like your full address and phone number I don't think it's a problem.)
