I purchased my Morrowind expansion through Steam, no big deal as Steam already has my payment information and it's a platform designed to sell games. But this problem where I cannot log in to the game through Steam has cropped up twice in as many weeks. I can log in just fine if I start the launcher without Steam and I manually enter my credentials, BUT I won't have access to my paid Morrowind content.
While I could just play non Morrowind content for a bit, some people like myself, are scheduled for raids in vHoF or want to play in Battlegrounds and now basically can't. We get met with a wonderful "Please would you consider purchasing Morrowind?!" prompt which quite frankly I find insulting since I already purchased it.
Look, if the problem is from the Steam side of the user authentication, that's fine and possibly out of your control... BUT I should be able to log into the FULL game that I've paid for (and am subbing btw) without Steam.
I don't feel that this is an unreasonable request and I have tried very hard to keep my tone polite and civil. Please fix it.

That is because it is NOT Steam related.

You state this like you have some personal proof or fact not willing to share with rest of us.
While anecdotal, the number of people who report that with same computer, same house, same internet - they can't login with steam version but can login with non-steam -- at least suggests some circumstantial evidence towards steam being part of the issue.
Doesn't prove it is all steam of course. But at the very least there is some circumstantial evidence to support the question.
Whereas your blanket denial is based on what? Knee jerk reflex sounds like it.

Um, the fact that I am not a Steam user and I am having the same issue is proof. If you don't understand that. IDK what to tell you.

Did you enter your username and password correctly?
I would love to know how exactly Steam is preventing me from logging in on my non-Steam account. I do not believe that is the case.
