If in fact they have been removed from these areas, perhaps ZOS finally clamped down on them and removed them from the game.
I don't know, that's a big maybe because I still run into bot trains constantly, especially now that I'm farming for overland gears. I'm basically spamming myself (ZOS sends me e-mails per report) by reporting these bots without knowing if it does any good. I still report every time though.
If they made me a GM and gave me Banhammer Privileges, it would be a wonderful evening let me tell you.
I would not even need ban privileges. They could give me a "teleport to random zone" spell and I would have tons of fun. Probably too much. Might get a ban, myself.
Teleport them to Cyrodiil. In the water. Would their code be smart enough to get them back to their patrol route?
Last time I saw a bot was shortly after ESO released. They were super bad at first then they disappeared.

A few months ago I saw somebody in Cyrodiil who kept coming out of Alessia keep, walking directly to the slaughterfish water and killing himself. Thought it must be some kind of bot and was about to report it, but then he whispered me and asked why I kept killing him. Turned out he just didn't know about slaughterfish.
