This is what kills PvP for me

I went on to get my young warden some PvP AP and skills. I knew she was not properly geared for it so I expected to die a lot and have a horrible kill/death ratio due to my lack of prep. So having better players kick my butt was expected but waiting over 10 minutes to respawn in a keep that was maybe a couple football away is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo game killer for me. I ended up exiting the game without respawning after my last death and 10+ minute wait...if the map can change entirely before you can re-enter the game then its not worth the experience.

    Have you gotten a loading screen in the middle of a battle? It's exciting staring at that painting of Cyrodill and wondering if you're dead yet.

    Cyrodiil lag is cause by zergs. Zergs are caused because people LFG in /zone and just run like sheep in the 3 fronts: ADvDC DCvEP EPvAD

    I think that since Zos cannot address server capacities they should look for easy solutions.

    What kills pvp lately is shieldstacking heavy atrack sorc mobs. Not that I'm complaining, it's a nice change from pve being ruined by ability changes solely to provide pvp balance.

    i have never had that happen.
    as soon as i die i am able to spawn at any keep that is owned by my alliance.
    not sure i understand what you are saying.

    It does happen...I've had it happen once, where the loading screen to go from shrine to keep was a good 3 minutes long.

    ZOS can address server capacities if they want to, stop pushing your anti-zone chat propaganda.
    This game was designed for large scale combat and used to run just fine till they made some not so efficient changes to the client/server anti-cheat code.

    Are you waiting on the timer instead of respawning?

    I'm getting loading screens in the middle of PVE and PVP areas. I thought this was fixed years ago? Remember the excuse where if you had more than 20 quests in yer hournal you would get in-area loads? It's not that this time! The server/infrastructure needs some of the crown crate profit re-invested.

    In my personal experience over the past 2 years I've noticed my ping goes highest when medium/large ORGANISED groups are around. Like ball groups. I don't feel much of an increase when unorganised chaotic pug groups are around even if there are twice as many of them. But maybe that's just me.

    For the most part I only get the long load screens when I am with a larger group. Up to 8 people it works fine for me but anything over that and sometimes you get stuck in a long load screen with others of your group. I have noticed that once you come out of it all of you come out at once. If there isn't a long queue the best fix for this issue is for the people who are getting stuck to restart the game.

    ON XB, there is an epidemic of red and blue zergs regularly. The server starts acting up towards the evening when the kiddies get on to play. Being lagged out of the game by 20+ destro-ults is NOT acceptable. It's even worse when literally almost the entire map population is at BRK or Alessia.

    No amount of server improvements are going to fix this. Population caps need to be decreased and "zerg penalties" to gained AP need to be introduced:

    If the number of enemy players around the Fort's grounds exceeds 25 enemy players:
    - The Keep's wall & door strength is increased by 250%.
    - The Keep's NPC guards' damage and armor is increased by 100%.
    - All AP gains for ALL players around the Fort's grounds is reduced by 90%.

    This would encourage smaller group combat that is more manageable for the servers and provides a more enjoyable combat experience.

    How is that possible? Every single keep your faction owned was under attack? If that happens, you can always spawn at your base.

    Or do you mean you tried to spawn and got stuck in a loading screen for 10 minutes?

    This. The zone chat idea is stupid and has a *zero* percent chance of being implemented anyway, so let's just address that upfront. We can talk about server performance without retreading a bazillion posts on a non-viable change that won't fix anything and won't happen.

    It's hilarious after a large keep battle and it eventually flips to see loads of people just suddenly stop moving mid fight and you just know they all got thrown into a load screen.

    Gap closing into a load screen is fun too.

    What kills PvP is that it shouldn't be in this game. The devs clearly have no F'ing idea how to make it work correctly, and the constant nerfing of the PvE side of the game to try and 'BALANCE' things obviously demonstrates this.

    lag, getting kicked from the server, op players, getting zerged down - all part of the price of admission...
