Pets occasionally failing to summon during combat
Hello all,
I’m currently running a pet sorc, I have found that if my volatile familiar is killed during combat that I occasionally run into trouble when trying to re-summon him. Basically, as soon as I summon him he appears for a half second with his hand on his head and screams then vanishes, as if I’ve unsummoned him. At first I thought he was more susceptible to damage during summoning so, I tested it and it happened three time in a row when I was playing around with a target dummy.
I have the familiar on both bars and I’m not bar swapping when it happens and the only time he fails to summon properly is during a fight.
Has anybody else encountered this or better yet can explain why this might be happening?

✭✭✭✭I cannot explain why it is happening but, yes, it has happened a lot with my clannfear. I use my clannfear to heal me and when I can't resummon him, I sometimes get killed. It's annoying and I would, also, like to know why this is happening.PC/NA/EP ✌️0 -
Erraln✭✭✭✭✭I... well, I was going to say that this is a common issue since pet active abilities were introduced, just don't try to use the skill too quickly after the Daedra pops out.
But in testing it to make sure it was still happening, I uh... well...

My thought when this happens is I have rushed going to the next thing. Every skill with an activation time has a time lapse where anything performed cancels the cast and nothing is done. In the case of summoned pets the animation begins even if the cast is canceled.0 -

I installed Srendarr and used to show me the cast time, if I activate my pet before the cast time has finished then I can replicate the problem. I finally understand what I have been doing wrong, just panicking in the heat of battle and spamming my keys
