If I'm AD and the queue time is crazy long - I could queue with a group that's a different alliance, get thrown in and even though I'm thrown on the AD side it counts towards the other factions player count?
Just want to make sure I'm reading this right or not. Played PvP a lot but haven't heard of this.

Yup.

Thank you.
I saw you posted this in my thread so just wanted to check.
yes this is known by devs, they said they would look into it bit it seems that they swept it under the rug. currently on xbox one in vivec camp the q is 106 for blue. less then a week ago the server was 3 bar yellow 0 other 2 alliances on average.... however, now it is three bar red three bar yellow and three bar blue. I know that there are some blue and some red that are really in the campagne, but compared to the yellow lol it is obvious. it is the same thing that the blue have done in shor when it is empty ealier in the day.... so to re iterate, in the am in vivec... yellow achieve poplock b4 other alliances and since their que gets long they start using other alliances to skip past waiting for their q and in return it counts as the faction that qued them in even though they yellow. with this being said the ava cyrodil has the potential to be estimated 550 yellows 25 red 25 blue the end.
Capitals and punctuation are your friend, and mine too. I honestly can't even with this post. I have gathered that you're defending my statement in that something is going on, but outside of that? I'm completely lost for words.

A red group leader can form a group of yellow buddies and queue them into Cyrodiil and the number queued counts against the red population just as an example. I imagine all alliances some may be abusing this. They are working on a fix or so they said.
@ZOS_GinaBruno Hey Gina, any word on this? Thanks.
whats even the point of letting people queue as a group for cyrodiil? just make them enter solo and group up once inside
Nobody knows exactly if queuing for another alliance coutns towards them or your own alliance.
How do you think people that claim tested it, did it?
you would have to qeueu 100s people at the same time to test it.
My assamption that you just circumvent your own alliance queue filling up a spot on your own alliance.
e.g: your alliance has 500/500 people in cyro, you circumvent it, and then its 501/500.
So the only thing that will be affected in the long run, is the queue of your own alliance, as people can still only join through your queue wenn people count is under 500.
My assamption is based on the fact that you spawn in your own alliances spawnpoint. There was a time, when you queued with another alliance you spawn in their spawnpoint, and that has been fixed for some time now.
But as long ZOS doesnt tell us, nobody knows for sure. And everyone telling you different just looks for an excuse why his alliance is weaker.

not my problem
Every time an alliance is last on the score board one of those topics pops up. Plenty of times I queued up for AD with a full pop and seen hardly any groups there. Then a guild raid forms with like 8 players and we fly through enemy keeps like a storm. It's not about how many people you have logged in. It's about how good a raid group is. It changes all the time and there is always some thread how other alliance is cheating.

You could dismiss this if it were any game except eso and its long history of exploitation with hundreds of people banned for cheat engine , bypassing mechanics and co op AP farming . There's only like a history of video evidence spanning three years to go by lol .

O.o Are you saying cross alliance groups can actually queue in Cyrodiil? That doesn't even make sense. You cannot group other alliance players while you're in Cyrodiil, if it lets you queue there with them it really sounds like someone just forgot to do a super simple alliance check upon queuing as well as upon in-Cyro grouping. My limited code understanding hints it should be something like 2 lines of code, "if <queue for Cyrodiil> then { if <all alliances the same> then proceed else terminate}", but of course it's never that simple with ZOS.

The grouping is done before entering Cyrodiil, and yes a simple check to see all are in the same alliance as the group leader before entering Cyrodiil would fix the issue.
Got proof? So far on PC if I Q as an AD and I have DC in my group their numbers go up (addon allows to see numbers). That's why I don't see it being a problem. There's a reason even in a DC Q you can get stuck at 1 as an EP cause it's still waiting for there to free up EP space.
But as long ZOS doesnt tell us, nobody knows for sure.
And this is something who is very trivial to solve, check if all is in same alliance if not do error handling like disbanding group.TequilaFire wrote: »O.o Are you saying cross alliance groups can actually queue in Cyrodiil? Exactly. Thus why it is such a serious issue. The fix is simple. But as we all know, nothing is ever truly "simple" with ZOS for most things. >_>

So supposedly it is possible to queue for 1 alliance, even though you're part of another. And therefore increasing the queue/wait times for people of the alliance the exploiters are queuing for.
This has been something I've overheard being discussed numerous times on PS4-NA, and is the reason why it takes so long to join into Cyrodiil from the AD alliance. I also personally witnessed this for myself, as it seemed that there were little to no people on for the AD side. Yet tons upon tons of EP and DC. I had also overheard people in Cyrodiil 1 day in zone chat discussing how they're going to lock DC's side, for doing it to us so much.
Is this an actual thing, and if so why has something so serious like this been overlooked? Just like how you can activate Eye of the Storm, cloak, and have the entire AoE completely hidden while you're cloaked. WTF is this? Lol. I know there are all sorts of cheesy things occurring in Cyrodiil, but damn. People are taking things to an all new low.
Yup. I was asked to do this for ad on Xbox and I did not and would not.
