You cannot appreciate ESO until you've heard it in the original Klingon.

I honestly think doing so will tell the players that it's alright to speak French and German in public chatrooms, and I don't want that. I could block those chats, but at the same time, I'd love to help out an aspiring werewolf by biting him, or give a guy his Price Check, or simply answer a question.

Based on that, I'd say no. I'd rather have the game split up in languages, rather than regions.
So no longer PC NA and EU, but PC EN, GE, and FR, but I don't see that happen any time soon.

I wouldn't want to see all EN players on the same server, not only would the ping be terrible for some (giving real disadvantages especially in PvP) but the whole community feel is typically very different between NA and EU players.

    Yes.
Not too long ago I totally saw someone suggest this on twitter. Seems like a cool idea

I think it's common courtesy to speak English in most chat, and showing the game in different languages would let people feel comfortable using their own language to their hearts content. I can't stress more over a guy that PM's me in another language, when I asked for something (group up, selling something, etc...).

That's why the game has language-specific zone channels, Zone-EN being one of them. If I was in Zone-FR, then I would expect to see only French (and type only French myself), but that's specific to that channel. General zone is multilingual by design and I think it's rude to expect people to use one language, especially if they're not comfortable writing in it (since learning to read something =/= learning to create your own sentences), and doubly so given that the language channels aren't obvious to new players.

It's an international game. The game officially supports multiple languages, and those players have as much right to use their languages in zone chat as I do.

But I'm an Anglophone on PC-NA and can muddle through my second language, so what do I know. ;)

I loved how the original Guildwars handled this: With the press of only one button the _whole interface_ including all quest descriptions etc. switch within a second to the configured secondary language.

This was one of the best features that I have ever seen regarding language support.
