picking an easier class

So I've come back to play after a year off from playing. I stopped playing originally because I just didn't have enough time to play because of rl. So now I am back with some more time to play, and I really need help deciding a class. I played a magicka nightblade, but I stopped playing it because towards end game it got way to hard for solo play. Even with enchanted gear, I could not play alone.

So now that I am back I gave magicka Warden a try, and it's the same thing lol. So I am curious what is a good sturdy class that I can play the quests with solo. I am currently gonna try Stamina Warden sword and board. Gonna use Heavy gear, with dual wield off hand. So far it's doing alright, but it's very slow at killing stuff. I want something that can survive, but can kill quickly. I would love to hear your recommendations, thank you.

My main is a stamblade, that solos a lot but for the things she couldn't I rolled up a magblade and she can solo quite well. The issue might be more with your playstyle. But I guess the consensus is that magicka sorcerer is the best for solo play, with pet and all.

Edit: if you have issues with the quests, which are meant for soloplay, then you ned to figure out what you are doing wrong cause every class can steamroll those.

Magicka sorc is very forgiving with shields and / or pets and self healing through surge.
Magicka templar, lots of heals, some nice AOE class skills and a spammable that keeps you healed if you go melee.

MagSorc is probably the easiest class to play solo content with these days. I had a similar situation where I don't get to play very often and want to maximize the time I do get. I have several characters but I play my Mag Sorc pet build the most. I can do any solo content no problem, solo most world bosses, easily do Vet Maelstrom, solo many vet dungeons, and 2 man several more when my buddy can play. The skills are easy to work into a solid rotation and DPS and damage mitigation/self healing is very plentiful.

Magicka nightblade is one of the best solo classes. Magicka sorc is also good, may be easier to use. Stamina sorc is probably easiest stam for soloing

I think Mag sorc would be a good choice or a Mag Templar.

Mag sorc. Hands down, EZPZ, press X to win, especially when fully built end game.

Magsorc - very good offensive power, good defenses with light armor and shields, emergency heals and help with damage from pets, excellent mobility. If you want to kill stuff fast, pick this one.

Magicka templar - on demand burst heal any time you get into trouble, good offensive power

Either one of those is going to work well for solo play, right through VMA if you want. Maybe try them both and see which abilities are more fun for you.
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

Any stam/mag version of any class can complete most of the content fairly easily. It just comes down to knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the different build types and making adjustments to your play style. Magic nightblade and stamina sorc are probably the two easiest to solo everything, with the templar class close behind.

Magicka nightblades are a pretty great solo class. Good sustain, a spammable self heal, shield, can go destro/resto for more heals if you're having trouble staying alive.

It requires a good deal of bar swapping, and I consider it to be a more active class when you're playing, but I think in terms of solo ease it's one of the better classes.

This remark really make me think you need a beter grasp of the basics of the game because enchanting your armor, jewelry and weapons is pretty much mandatory. Changing class isn't going to fix that so do some reading, ask specific questions on gameplay and gear.

A strong class for solo play would be the magplar. Puncturing sweeps does decent damage and heals you at the same time. For a range alternative the mSorc is solid, access to a second shield and surge will help keep you healed. Third choice would be a stam sorc, again with surge.

Magplar is a solid choice for solo play, since you've got damage and self-heals, altho, the same could be said for Magwarden. I've been playing mine since Morrowind dropped, and yeah it's a little tricky in the beginning, but I wouldn't say it's hard

From experience, Sorcerer is the easiest class to play (in PvE) because it is very linear and restricted in its combat options - ideal for a new player who might be overwhelmed with options and builds. On the flipside, Sorcerers can feel boring with how restrictive their kit is - it's always several toggles on your bar, with a few skills squeezed in. However, their passives are incredibly powerful and their damage is the highest in the game within PvE.

Nightblades can be incredibly fun to play with the myriad of options they have at their disposal. It's pretty much Batman's utility belt - you have Cloak, Mark, Fear, and Siphoning Attacks to name a few. The weakness that Nightblades have is the relatively restricted access to Major Ward/Resolve for defenses and a fairly complex rotation of skills. Nightblades require a MUCH higher skill and level of practice to master in order to get the most of their skills in PvE.

For PvP play, it is the complete opposite - sorcs require a great deal of skill to use effectively while Nightblades allow for easy kills against enemy players due to their exclusive access to stealth and fear effects.

My recommendation is to pick the class that performs best, depending on what aspect of the game you play more. Neither class is weak nor are either of them "the better choice" for both PvE and PvP.

Mag Sorc or Mag Templar are the two best options IMO for easy solo play.

For those that think mSorc is still on top for PVE DPS, you are way off. They were last patch, but the nerfs have dethroned them. You can still pull excellent numbers with them, but top DPS? No way.

Pretty sure the title of the thread is easiest: I can hold heavy attack for 20K dps on mine. One button hero. Imagine if I was able to manage two-buttons -- the deeps I could do!

@OP; Stamina Warden is a REALLY EASY class to solo. I have mine at level 40 atm, and I haven't grouped once. He has finished the Mage and Fighters guild quest lines as well as the Main story line; i.e. he defeated Molag Bal.
If you would like some tips or pointers on how I have mine set up I would be happy to help you. ;)

I've been having strange success with a stam sorcerer. Not sure why as I had originally run one and had such a hard time with it. The last one had been a Breton, but this time I ran a wood elf, and I have been having a great time with this character. Haven't found too much content I haven't been able to solo through. My clannfear is great for healing, and that makes all the difference.
    Clueless, but willing to learn.

Magicka Templar is the easiest. Next in line is magicka sorc. Unless it's a stam sorc, avoid stamina like the plague.

i have a mag nightblade, what i think really helps with soloing are stustain sets like baraha's curse or withered hand etc..

It seems magicka classes are better in general with soloability and sustain due to shields, heals etc.

mag Templar is the easiest. One button kill everything with Puncturing Sweep...The more mobs, the more you heal yourself.
