I level a character up, only to level a new character up, and while I am leveling that new character up I have already created yet another new character and think about plans for it. This went on and I now have 10 characters that I fully intend on leveling eventually. Four characters are already lvl 50 and others are being worked on. I'm hoping to save the last 4 slots for mules.. but who knows??

Who am I kidding. I.. I think I have an alt addiction. So I'd like to ask the community. Do you also share this massive time sink problem? Polls are made anonymous to protect your privacy..

    I don't think its a problem. Are you having fun playing/planning those alts? If so then everything is as it should be. Having fun is the ultimate goal of playing a game, not sticking to one character.

    To be clear I don't mean game addiction. I mean alt addiction where you stop caring about freshly minted lvl 50 and move on to new char that will meet the same fate.

    Between my ten characters, leveled or otherwise, I'm not at all sure which will end up being my main character.

    Yes I am. In fact I'm having too much fun and I love all my toons. I just have a hard time sticking to one, or two, or even three.

    Your alt-itis is a little different from mine (I do still play my capped characters), but I definitely do have an issue with it. All the more roleplay characters to play with. :)

    I actually wish I could be more motivated to level my alts. I currently have a level 4 DK that I made a couple months ago and he won't even be the next character I level. On the plus side he's got max speed and half way to max stamina on his horse training.

    The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, thus, I Don't have a problem! Actually, yeah, I do. :'( Same scenario in fact. 4 characters at 50+, 5 others I want to level up, 1 is currently a mule as I canceled my ESO+. Oddly, she's my favorite ATM. Named "Hag of Holding"

    You don't need to have a main character. There's nothing wrong with having a stable of equal individual characters.

    Of course, you don't even qualify as a real altoholic if you only have a single account...

    The problem I have is, I have all these great ideas for really cool characters and I wanna create them, but once I do, I don't want to take the time to level them up. I always want to spend my time playing my main, or grinding CP. Currently, I have all eight character slots being used. Only three, THREE are max level, and I've been playing since pre-launch. My NB, Templar and Sorc are all max, I still haven't level a DK or Warden, but I do have one of each.

    Both myself and an old guildy had/have a terrible case of altoholism, so you aren't alone OP.

    As soon as I have an idea for an alt, I create the alt. And then I level their mount while I'm levelling my other characters. By the time the other characters are levelled, I have a new alt to play with a reasonable horse.

    I currently have two wardens standing at the stables dwiddling their thumbs, learning a riding skill each day (my 9th and 10th characters)

    I'll play them some day. But I want to run other characters through Morrowind right now.

    Sort of same. Every one of my characters has been played to 50 (or nearly) and then re-made from scratch at least once. It takes me that long to figure out how to play the class, and then I start over so I can level the way I want. The exception is my warden - I don't know if I'll do that with her or not.

    Not efficient, but it did let me play in all three factions at some point before I finally settled on one, and try out different race/class combinations before I realized I could do that on the PTS. And also it was fun.
