Is it smth wrong with Inner beast taunt?

Looks like it became unreliable. Yesterday noticed on Bogdan boss in EH2 that sometimes taunt debuff marker drops from boss before if expired (on 6-7 sec remainig) boss aggros another player and I cannot retaunt (skill is casted but debuff marker does not appear on boss). I asked if someone uses frost staff but noone confessed.
PS: Btw there should be universal taunt mechanics either all taunts can overtaunt before other taunt expires or all taunts cannot overtaunt other taunt. Now it looks like you can overtaunt inner fire with puncture or frost heavy but cannot overtaunt active taunt with inner fire.

You can't over taunt yourself and I have no problem taunting anything with any taunt. It had to be someone trolling you if the taunt disappeared too early. You can't create taunt immunity on your own. Its either a boss mechanic or someone else taunted it.

You PC or Console? If you are on PC get the Untaunted addon, it does an amazing job at keeping track of taunts, and if the target is taunt immune then it will stop refreshing your taunt on the addon and you can easily confirm your findings. It might be a bug with those two specifically.

It has been a while so I'm not 100% certain on this, but I think the Bogdan boss has a mechanic that breaks taunt. I remember being confused about why I would lose taunt until I noticed his jumping up in the air and coming down would acquire me to reapply the taunt. Something similar seems to happen with the Daedric Titan boss in Vault of Madness.

Hmmm maybe, I retaunt so often that I never notice such things on him or the other titan, though he does have Abilities that are random, the second one that is. But there are plenty of bosses that have mechanics that breaks taunts, see Spider Deadra in FG2 and last boss in Arx.

I'm not a fan of bosses that ignore taunts via mechanics. It's never advertised in game so unless you know you get people in pugs blaming the tank.

I agree, its not fun.
Tanks shouldnt be irrelevant.
