Delves and Public Dungeons are stupid, you can't find a single boss to kill

I usually only PvP in this game, but since i bought Morrowind i decided to give it a try to the PvE aspect.....dear god. So many ppl farming delves and public dungeons that is pointless even do them, you won't find a single mob to fight, and the boss spawn location is usually filled with 5 dudes waiting for the boss to spawn, so a delve that usually takes me 3 minutes takes me 15 minutes of waiting the boss to spawn so i can clear it.

Make delves and public dungeons instance based, otherwise is pointless to do open world PvE.

I believe you are capable of playing. It is just crowded, at the moment. PC had an early access if you pre ordered but still was just released.
Instances wouldn't help out that new player who needs help killing the mobs in a public dungeon.

This was a problem at launch, iirc. Bad design choice/flaw to go with the public delves/dungeons.
Instances wouldn't help out that new player who needs help killing the mobs in a public dungeon.

Wrong. It'd be easy-peasy to have someone ask in zone for help, team up, run the instance and everyone go their way. I point at every other MMO that has instanced missions/dungeons as an example. If it works there, it can work here.

I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

I teach many people this trick, you come somewhere where crowd is gathering and you might want bosses to all yourself, so we what do in our guild is have 3 people go in cave and scream in zone chat like for example: Michael (my name) come Riften very quick guy is give everyone free kuta, and one other guild guy say hey did you hear about guy who give kutas in riften away? people start charge out to check riften and we just have lots laugh and kill boss few time till come back happens

I feel your pain ManDrakE, I was having a blast in Morrowind, then like a swarm of locusts everything in Morrowind was covered in toons. So I simply dusted off an old character and started in the original world. I'll get back to Morrowind once the frenzy dies down.

However I do disagree with your idea of "Make delves and public dungeons instance based", I have fun temporarily grouping up in the delves and Public dungeons, the mobs will thin out over time, just have some patience.

Then why even play an MMO? Doesn't that ruin the entire game?

If everything is instance based you might as well go play Dynasty Warriors.

The point of this game is that it's a MULTIPLAYER game with other people around, interacting in the same world as you are.

That is the whole point of MMOs.

I can't tell you how much I disagree with you. I am almost never for more instancing in MMOs.

Hhehe, yeah, I played on Vvardenfell a bunch during early access and it was pretty fine, and then the actual release date hit and I haven't played since. Gonna give it another week before diving back in and and finishing Vvardenfell.

You'd think with "so little content" people would be done already. :P

That is a good point if this was only happening in the MW delves/public dungeons, but it's not. I have this issue in a lot of them, especially the one in Rivenspire. I just want to complete the content, not sit and wait for the boss to show up. The delves aren't so bad, because it's usually just one boss. But the public dungeons, with 8 bosses, waiting on each one of them can make a 30 min (respectively) dungeon into an hour or so. Ridiculous.

I do understand the problem. I would be fine if there was an OPTION to have private instances on mission-related delves.

For instance, I recently went in to Barilzar's Tower as part of the Vivec questline in Morrowind, where I was to save him from attacking Daedra. However, as I entered the room, someone else was already there and defeated all the daedra. There was NOTHING for me to do, and no way to do it over, since it was quest related.

If there was an option to have private instances on demand... that might be beneficial. Play with others most of the time, but play privately when desired.

Id love to have personal/group instances in delves. It would return a whole game play style that is really missing from the game. Stealth. I know there are stealth missions but most of them are try not to get caught. Id love to be the stealthy character sneaking around a delve. You know the style that is all but pointless in eso combat.

I do think public should stay public tho.

The current state is the exception, not the rule. Head to any of the non-Vvardenfell dungeons and you'll see what they're usually like: pretty much empty, though occasionally you'll cross paths with or find yourself in the trail of another player soloing the content.

Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."

Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."

Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."

This kind of thing happens to me from time to time. When it does, some times I just move on with my life. Others, I feel a little cheated I didn't get to fight the boss. So I wait. Another player will be by soon which will force the boss to respawn and I'll get my fight.

So saying there"NOTHING" for you to do is overstating it a bit.

Instancing does not necessarily mean, one instance per person. They just need to set a more reasonable maximum number of players per instance. If one instance is full, another is created.

Not that hard to implement, keeps the MMO aspect, helps weaker players and prevents overcrowding.

Hmm maybe it's the time your playing? I have gone to dungeons that has had not a single person in them and others that seemed kinda full. Of course when no one else around is when I've died a couple of times. I was always thankful when another player came by and I got the help I needed. Or when I just want to get a skyshards and everything is already dead, that is when I Sprint to it. Usually on the way out every thing has respawned.

While interacting with others is unquestionably NOT the "whole point" of MMOs, it is the nature of MMOs to share a world.

Varen Aquilarios and Sheogorath contest that claim. We even have another thread about playing the game as a single player game, which a lot of people do quite successfully.

been saying this for a while... the number of players in a given instance needs to be reduced slightly (could be bumped back up by a large group, etc.). I'd also like to see if reduced number of players per instance reduces some of the in instance lag (like when yer in a busy city, WAYREST, etc.)?

ZOS is making money, it's time to reinvest in better network infrastructure, more server hardware to allow for more VMs.

I personally like pretty much the way it is. But I do wish too that there was a lowered maximum player cap per instance. Because while some small delves and public dungeons are fine, some other are constantly overflooded and farmed and it is usually a nightmare.

Having the possibility to run a "private" delve could be entertaining when we play with friends, family and guildies, so I'm all for it. As long it is an option and the current system stays like it is.

On the same topic, opening up all those boring solo instances from main quests with the possibility to complete it as a group would be so much more fun. I essentially play with my companion and guild mates and solo instance are always breaking our enjoyment to play together.

This is only ever a problem when new content is released, but they should absolutely create new instances of delves/public dungeons after four players enter. Four players max is the perfect amount to feel like there are others present but not overcrowding.
