Should 2H weapons have trait effectiveness reduced?

Seeing as they are a single item, they should only have the effectiveness of a one handed item trait right? Just like how they only count as one set piece. For consistencies sake I think it should be this way, and hey, 2H might not be the best choice in stam PvP then.

Consistency isn't always good, just look at the bow HA nerf. 2hs have tradeoffs and access to their own unique skills and so do not need set bonuses. Mag dps do not need more buffs and the only 2h weapons that need to count as 2 set items are bows(which are not a good primary) and ice staves which are worse than sword and board

Nah, this is for the argument against 2H's not being considered 2 pieces to a set. I should likely add the troll icon.

Problem being: Should Bows be buffed based on the sets available to them? Or should its kit be buffed such that it actually becomes viable? Same goes for the frost staff.

This doesn't make any sense, all 2h weapons would be irrelevant then. It's balanced(ish) the way it is now. If you did it your way not only would staff wielding mag classes be at a huge disadvantage but every stam class would use dualwield or shield. By doing so they would get the bonus of another set piece and double trait
