I just wanted to say... Brilliant work on the Music front... I was just wondering will we ever get the Soundtrack for purchase? Also the lyrics of the Bard Songs...

Gosh I would even take a whole segment of ESO Live to hear what your thoughts were on developing the new songs... They turned out great...

Hah... I just found out that the lyrics of one Song is an excerpt of Sermon 6 of the 36 Lessons... (incidentally the one I enjoy the most)

You can actually find a note with all the lyrics within the game and then hear the bard sing the song. I found the note and the bard in Gnisis.

@SoundMaster, Will the dark elf bards (not of Vvardenfell) have access to these lyrics sometime soon? the bards of Tamriel need to sing about something other than the Red Diamond.

Go a step further.

1) Create custom bard songs for each instrument

2) Play each song in every inn to earn a Master Bard achievement.

3) Profit.


I can already see it now, a billion people playing their flutes in the flaming nix trying to get the achievement. It'd also add to the immersion because random inns spread out the world will have the chance of some guy going for achievement playing a flute in the background.

They could also do what Becoming a Bard mod did where you receive gold or random items for playing the instrument at inns. So basically people would give you junk to sell if they had no gold to give you.

@SoundMaster Your work contributes a lot to make the ingame world more believeable... I rarely stopped to listen to the Bards in Skyrim... But in ESO and especially on Vvardenfell I can't help myself... Also new stuff would make a great prog/folk Rock concept Album

Would be great to actually sync up players that play instruments.

Everything's way off tempo.

All you need is a lead guy and all sync up to the lead player.

Imagine seeing 50+ players bashing the drums insync,, DUUUM DDUMMMM DUUUMMM.

Last night I was in Kragenmoor, kind of out of the way town in Stonefalls, and I ran into the inn there...for the first time ever, i sat there and listened to the lady bard singing...she sang some of the most haunting songs I'v ever heard.

Not sure if he's the one you're referring to, but he's the bard singing in Hollow City opposite the Dwemer house and I think in Mournhold outside the tavern too (among others).

Edit: He's the one listed as "Male voice" on the UESP page. So that may help with process of elimination.

Of course if I'm wrong and it's not actually Crispin, then SoundMaster can correct me and I can feel embarrassed.

They are not the base-game bard voices. The base-game female bard is Malukah, and the base-game male bard is Crispin Freeman. (The base-game old male bard is Jim Cummings.)

The new male bard is *definitely* Gideon Emery. I would recognize that man's voice anywhere.

I did recognize Malukah. There's another female voice besides her in the base game, though, so I'm curious about that one.

Oh hey, he was Balthier. He was cool and attractive. That's about the only credit of his that I recognize.

Can you get these songs on CD? Or has anyone extracted them from the PC version? They have to be MP3 files somewhere. I'd like to listen to some if these songs on their own, particularly Malukah, whos voice I find very pleasing.

Who wrote the new songs? Specifically the paraphrasing of the sermon and the one about the walking ways?
It made me very happy to hear two songs about things that the majority of the player-base probably dont even understand.
It also made me question just how cognizant followers of the tribunal temple are of these metaphysical concepts, or if they just kind of blindly follow the tribunal.

She used to be more common, they seem to have removed her from everywhere but dragonstar, and the youtube videos of most of her stuff are also suspiciously missing...

I went hunting for her a while back and recorded the dragonstar stuff to listen to on case they remove that one too.
