It's against the rules if you aren't at the helm and your character is acting. That might mean rubber banding the controller, it might mean setting a path and orders so you can go watch a movie and come back to 10k scraps. They're both against ToS.

Go North east of Haven at any time and watch. Those are bots. You don´t have to be a genius to see the difference between someone farming and bottrains.

When you see 4 characters stacked on each other perfectly in sync running from mob spawn to mob spawn using the exact same attacks simultaneously, it's either a bot train or multi-boxing. Both are against the TOS.

They are always all over the place in Shadowfen now.

Raises flags...Is Zeni feeling guilty over the amount of grind? Are they hurting that badly for log ins? Could they be worried about litigation perhaps, if a permaban was set?

The mafia styled, closed door punishment method keeps any of us knowing what the consequence is and also raises even more questions, when those same botters are seen again later.

They say they take all botting reports seriously and forward the information to the right teams to investigate, but its hard to believe that when these bot trains have been running the exact same path for the past 8 months (this is not an exaggerated figurative statement). I reported these locations last November and they're still going strong, all day, all night, and probably ruining the market for leather and clothing tannins.

If you pull monsters from the surrounding area onto the train, the bots will pause to attack. Eventually, you'll cause a few to lag behind or one to get ahead of the rest of the group, and you could murder them eleven times over before your dungeon q pops. They will respawn at the wayshrine and path back, and you can kill them again. It's an ESO mini game.

It's a little unfair to accuse Zos of not doing anything because you don't see anything being done.

People don't seem to understand the process they and any mmo company need to go through to deal with botters, they can't just take your word and ban them, they have to investigate it and catch them in the act themselves, otherwise they could be banning someone on the say so of someone with malicious intent against another innocent player.

This takes time and resources.

Also, you need to factor in that these accounts are disposable accounts to the farmers, they know that eventually they may get banned, so they have dozens of accounts set up ready to take over when those accounts get blocked, this means that they can seamlessly start farming again within minutes of a ban, to someone who has noticed them botting, this might seem like they haven't been banned at all.

Don´t buy large amount of dreugr wax or rawhide scraps from guildstores. You can figure out what players has been using bots to farm depending on what stuff they put out in Guildstores (often their main account that puts out the stuff). Like a few weeks ago I saw someone putting out 4,6k mudcrab chitins together with 2k rawhide scraps after eachother in a guildstore. furter down the same account/player had put out 100+ dreugr wax for sale.

Perfect example of someone using bots on other accounts to farm materials. Simple be aware when browsing guildstore on what people sell. Be suspicious to large amount of mats being sold at the same time.

You can even see these players in guild stores. They list thousands of dreugh wax every day on traders (it's the same culprits listing every day... I'm sure they're just legitimate farmers who play for 20+ hours a day).
