Okay, I've not been able to play very long before I got booted off because Xbox is having issues or something... but I have played long enough to have concerns about how the new content is meant to mingle with the old content...

So my new character was on a boat, got enslaved and then escaped and went to Vvardenfell, cool cool.... but how does this all tie in with the main storyline with being a vestige with no soul and having to defeat all of Molag Bals evils and escaping the wailing prison after I am assuming being one of Mannimarcos dark anchor sacrifices.

Poor new players are gonna be confused as hell when they finally get to the base game when all the dialogue centres around these events.

Who knows maybe this will all become clear when I can finally get back onto the game, but what are all your guys experiences and thoughts?

Simple, morrowind takes place before the original main quest for new players. Existing pre morrowind characters will play morrowind during or after the original main quest

Okay, two stupid questions you may or may not know the answer to.

    1. Do I still do the wailing prison thingy at some point?

    2. If I leave Vvardenfell will I be able to go back to it if it is taking place before the main quest line.

I feel so dumb asking these questions, haha, my brain is not working today at all.

You can leave VVardenfell and come back with no problems. And the Wailing Prison ties into the Morrowind story. Just play it through and you'll see how it all works out. Just trust that they didn't screw up the continuity so you can experience it by experiencing it.

Yes, you will do the main quest when you leave the island to the faction you chose

    1. Might as well as it offers an additional skillpoint and starts the original mainstory

    2. Yes, vvardenfell will be the same whether you have stopped the planemeld or havnt

Thankyou, you're right, I will do just that.

And just incase I won't be checking this thread again incase spoilers are posted.

Thanks for putting my concerns to bed.

Whoop whoop, I'm excited now, just need Xbox to hurry up and get back online.

You get an pretty cool cutscene when you start the main storyline on Morrowind characters. I recommend.
