That's the worst argument against solo phases. Especially because modern MMOs (Destiny and the Division being key examples) push a system like this to support the game's narrative (sole hero). Lots of players encountered in group locations (dolmens, world bosses, public dungeons) but majority of exterior exploration, quests, and dungeons, are almost entirely solo. You will only occassionally be phased together with other players to reinforce the idea of a big open world where you are one of the few heroes. It would massively help ESO to keep player counts high in areas that are designed for them, and solo everywhere else.
While I respect your opinion I for instance would never play a game with mechanics like that, because even the thought literally puts me to sleep. Why would I play a singleplayergame online?

That's exactly what ESO is becoming, and the way most people play this game anyway. Craglorn was mostly detested before One Tamriel made it a solo-friendly area. The game has shot up in popularity and while it used to be widely criticised it's now widely praised, again since One Tamriel.

My question to you would be: why do you want to be surrounded by players all the time? In the current implementation we love players when we're near dolmens and world bosses, but when we quest we're tacitly asked to pretend those other players aren't there. There are literally quest NPCs in dungeons who tell you you're the first person they've seen for over a thousand years, while you look in confusion at the half dozen other players who were here before you, strafing their way along bookshelves and running between pots and urns as they loot everything in sight, and filling the room with sparkles and particle effects as soon as a mob spawns. You like that? You don't see the benefit of a system that intelligently phases players into group zones around dolmens and world bosses, but phases you into solo areas for dungeons and quests that are balanced and designed for solo play anyway?

Yes, I would like the option to play in a Solo Phase
I would really like a solo option. To get around everybody complaining about farming, just have a solo only character slot and bank.

I also find it amusing that some people are saying "No" to a solo option because they like seeing other players around them. This is pretty selfish in my opinion. Trying to dictate how other peoples experience of the game should be. It is also proceeding from the false assumption that everybody is going to play solo. I would put money on the number of players wanting a solo option would be in the minority. But the demand is clearly there.

As for people reasons for wanting to play a MMO solo, what difference does it make? Saying "Just go play Skyrim" is a tired, irrelevant response. The two games play completely differently, and some of us would to experience the ESO world and gameplay mechanics on our own sometimes.

The bottom line is Elder Scrolls games are renowned for "play it your way". This would just be another way to do that.

Yes, I would like the option to play in a Solo Phase
I would hope that when the servers on this game eventually die, they would allow play in a solo phase so that I can still enjoy the game (and maybe finally become emperor!).

I would like a solo phase (with group content scaled appropriately) because I play this game because it is Elder Scrolls, and not because it's an MMO - however, I would rather see them work on new features/zones than on a solo phase. Sometimes those other people come in handy, you know?
