Yes I m sure people will disagree- but as a customer i think its fair for me to voice my feedback here and that they hopefully see it. I enjoy and love this game but the financial decisions it has made int he past 6 months, from crown crates to paying for one time dyes- to paying this much for a DLC - and this much more for a collectors edition is really turning me off. Im a working adult with disposable income- as i said- I'm happy to pay for a product i believe in . I regularly support crowdfunding initiatives if i believe in it. ZOS you need to look after us a little bit better guys. and this is the bottom line.
I went to buy the upgrade today finally and was deciding between the packs- looked into it:
Okay Morrowind upgrade vs Digital collectors edition- for 30 bucks AUD you get:
ARMORED WAR HORSE
DWARVEN SPIDER PET
MORAG TONG CONVERTER
GREY WAR BEAR
CHARACTER EMOTES
so 30 bucks for a mount, a pet, a motif , a skin and a few emotes. Come on ZOS- try harder- give us some more. its a fake world with fake things- it dosent cost you anything to give several --
costumes- perhaps 5 - at least.
a motif book that will allow us to craft in that style.
perhaps even a set of armour - save people from farming- why not - from a business point of view it makes sense- maybe even
a destro/resto staff in infused would be fair.
Some colours that aren't accessible.
some more scrolls for xp and poitions- free crown crates.
all we're looking for is value. I've always supported ZOS in terms of financial support, from subscitptions even when i already had all the DLC's. i thought- i spent this much time on this game- why not give them the money- its not much- to support them to make a better product. but this is the kind of crap that turns customers- when you take advantage instead of being generous. we all know the feelig- and enjoy the service when we get a product or go into a restaurant and the service goes the extra mile- but this is plain lazy and greedy.

I would suggest that reading the details more thoroughly next time to make sure one understands what they are getting for the extra cash spent to avoid such calamities since Zos clearly communicated on this.

They will sell what people will buy. And plenty buy at the prices they charge. That's their bottom line.

Not enough though, if all the pre release price drops are anything to go by. Can only assume the uptake hasn't been particularly impressive.

Considering I bought the Physical Collector's Edition off Amazon MONTHS ago during a 'Prime' discount sale for $30, I wouldn't buy into price drops... it's pretty typical marketing strategy.

A prime discount sale is something completely different. Amazon probably took the hit for that to make their own product look more enticing. Those sort of deals aren't just limited to their gaming section, but those deals are limited to Amazon themselves. When you have price drops all across the board, on all platforms, from numerous retailers that tells a completely different story.

So what is it telling me? Because you make statements without any PROOF of anything. Clearly you don't understand marketing and are making assumptions based upon what you WANT to believe ala "Fake news". Marketing strategy would be to post a price months in advance, then at the time of launch, lower the price to attract more sales and generate more buzz. "Hey, ESO: Morrowind is launching and they lowered the price".
Now, for your theory to work, they would keep the price the same, and then drop the price after a couple of weeks due to poor launch sales.
