As an owner of an Alienware 17 r3 I suggest you get a different computer; Alienware went down hill when Dell bought them out. They used to be a good option with support who did not try to rip you off on your already over priced machine but man after my current experience I'm never going back to Alienware.

Just wanna say when it comes to the renewal of warranty do not let them make you pay more than 100$, they tend to try to make you pay more than the actual price like dead serious.

Yes they may be pricey but I have not had a pc in years and I used to have an Alienware when I was younger and I loved it. With everything in this I hardly think I've made a bad decision. I was more than willing to spend the money for the name as of now. And I'm not so cheap I would return it just to get the same thing without the name on it. bUT once I'm familiar with them again maybe I will put together my own for my next one. But for now I'm happy with it

Any reason why you need a laptop?
You can build a very high end desktop (much more powerful than anything from Alienware) for around $1500.

Way better and more cost efficient than the Alienware aka my next laptop family; I've been researching them for a couple months now and have decided to move onto that laptop after.

Define "very high end". Yeah, best bang for your buck is building your own desktop. But with an Nvidia GTX 1080 running you $500-$600 all by itself, I'd be very impressed if someone's build grand total tops at something like $1,500.

If you can, play on a desktop. It cheaper and better than laptop gaming.

What do you think of the Asus ROG series of laptops?
Origin PC looks like a top notch boutique vendor. They will build you a monster of a machine. Of course for top dollar though.

Origin are probably good if you have money to burn and dont care.

Well Origin PC is a real boutique PC vendor focusing on high end gaming machines. I haven't really found any negative reviews on them. They use the same top shelf parts that anyone else would use if they built a PC on their own. Of course you are paying Oirign for their expertise and warranty slapped on top of the machine.
Edit: And if you care about these kinds of things, Origin is all based in the USA and their customer service is US based also.

Fun fact...
Origin PC was founded by some of the people that left Alienware after Dell bought them out.
