I have never gotten an armiger motif from a coffer, and have opened a couple hundred. Only from a chest.

Same here, I think he doesn't understand the difference between ashlander and armiger motifs.

Well the drop rate went from 1 in 500 chests to 1 in every two hundred chests.. give or take. Honestly this kind of thing really turns off people to the game. I can understand rarity..but when i gotta spend most of my online time trying to complete one motif and so far only getting 1 page after days of constant chest farming for hours? Its frustrating.

And the new furniture recipes are just as bad, I've gotten two imperial motifs, dozens of old world purple recipes, i fill up my fence sales every day in pick pocketing and i have yet to get 1 new purple recipe from any source since early access. So right now my online time is either trying to farm new recipes or trying to get a motif that never drops. But i think the drop rates need another look at. They were much better in the Beta, I actually managed to find some in there.

I don't appreciate the flaming. I stated I've found ONE Armiger. It was the chest. I sold it in my guild trader for 100k. MM was actually higher but didn't realize they were as rare as they apparently are, hence I went cheaper.

I posted the Ashlander motif just to show those are dropping. I got 2 more Ashlander today, again, from the relic and hunt dailies (NOT THE ONES from Vivec City).

Maybe it's lousy rng on your part, I honestly don't know. But flaming someone trying to help, is appaling.

If the Armiger motifs have the same drop rate as the reskinned Dwarven "Ebony" mounts, then you guys are SOL. I opened over a 100 crates, and only got 4 mounts, Dwarven Senche, the new wolf skin, the panther/tiger reskin, and the guar reskin. Had over a 1k in gems from the leftover garbage...... so if you guys are dealy witrh the same BS rng as that, don't even bother.

I know Zos reads EVERY message as they moderate religiously. Don't suppose it's asking too much to clarify here. Don't ppreciate being called a liar or insinuating I'm a moron because others haven't found one from a hunt/relic coffer due to horrid drop rates they arbitrarily enforce because a think tank thought it would increase player retention..... when all they really have to do is release more DLC areas.

Haven't read all of this thread, so apologise if things have already been said

Paintings are stolen from safe boxes, the only paintings I have gotten from chests are the older ones and so I can't say if they're obtainable from treasure chests or not. As for the new motifs, the drop rate is far worse than the Craglorn motifs.

Seems the droprates haven't gone up at all on Armiger.. Prices for the few motifs I see on traders are 250-350k each which is ridiculous..
Perhaps they oughta add them to world bosses drop tables aswell as upping the chance from treasure chests slightly..
On a completely different note.. The nice looking fiery skin that was first supposed to come with HotR but was pulled out before release, is now on crown store for 1200 crowns..
But I'll pass on that.. ESO is turning more and more into a crown store fancy clothes money sinkhole rather than high quality content.. Morrowind for example, a standalone addon at a very high price, is in my opinion lesser than for example Orsinium, which is just a DLC.. Oh and I really regret wasting money to buy Morrowind..

So far, since Morrowind came out, I have opened countless chests in Morrowind(after completing all of the quests and achievements asap....few days for the quests, finding tombs, lorebooks etc, longer for completing all daily quests available)....and I have yet to get Crafting Motif 47: Buoyant Armiger ANYTHING. I now have a crafting writ that requires Crafting Motif 47: Buoyant Armiger Boots. After putting tons of time into it(on all my days off for a couple of weeks), I am dropping the writ quest so that I can continue to actually do the rest of the writs I have in my invent. The drop rate on this is so bad, you either have to spend $ on crowns to buy the motif from the crown store, or give up on progressing.

Well, they are for sale in the crown store for IRL money....why would they increase the drop rate. That would cut their profit margin.

The patches notes for the next update mention BA motif drop rate will be increased, as well as better loot from master chests and from using Treasure Hunter.

... What, the hell, is with that drop rate? Like I certainly don't feel rewarded for having done the content I was told would reward me with such things.
You have my sympathy. For what it is worth, the only reference to Buoyant Armiger gear that I have seen is a Master Sealed Clothing Writ that requires a piece to be crafted in Buoyant Armiger style. Of course, the player's character cannot fulfill it until and unless the character has "learned" the B.A. motif for the particular piece. It isn't worth it to buy the corresponding motif "chapter" just to fulfill such a Writ, whether I might sell the Sealed Writ instead.
