Immortality in Cyro???

So I came across this video on social media the other day. Guy claims its a legit 'intended' buff obtained in pve land which reduces damage taken to 0%. This cant be true, can it? I've been doing research, cant find anything of the sort.

There was another thread with this video the other day, I am not actually sure what came of it as it got buried with other threads.

I hope ZOS is looking into this either if it's not an exploit it's an issue that needs addressing and if there is anything shady going on then clearly action needs taking.

After speaking at length with the creator of this video, he claims its completely intended, and not an exploit. Yet he would not mention how he was able to obtain immortality other than a 'secret delve' in pve land. He also said that this 'buff' reduces damage taken to 0% for some time. I cant imagine it would ever be intended to obtain immortality in pvp, other than sets like phoenix and yokuden sets where you revive after death.

There's nothing intended about that.

If that's a legitimately obtained buff and not an exploit, I am confident that Zeni will squash it. I don't give them he benefit of the doubt often, but I am certain that nobody on the game design or combat teams would allow this.

PvE quest specific buffs should not apply in PvP. He is using a broken mechanic to exploit in PvP, simple as that, there is no way around the fact that he is exploiting something that was not intended to be used in such a way.

There used to be a quest buff that transformed you to a skeleton and gave you almost 100% dmg mitigation. Was nerfed awhile back though and had a tell (skeleton look). Possible that something like that is back with Morrowind and he's stacking other forms of mit with it. An exploit nonetheless, I'd highly doubt the devs intended gameplay like this. @Montayva

Hey Richie baby, if there's a pve buff that gives 100% mitigation in pvp, word is going to spread like wildfire, if it hasn't already. Probably want to get some attention on this before you guys have to dole out (another) assload of bans.

That's a valid observation, he was completely useless in combat. Impervious to damage, but useless.

Yeah, now, if he had some awesome dps and was killing all the players and they couldn't touch him.......that would be a real problem. But he was just laughable, IMO!

I refuse to entertain the idea that garbage like this is 'perfectly okay' just because the immortal guy can't do enough damage to kill some other stamina super-tank build.

They can still burn siege, camp/cap flags, run off with BG relics, take resources, root people, interrupt rezes, guard healers, stroll right through siege fire, shower in oils while rezing friends, etc. They're 'too good' in any kind of coordinated group play, especially everyone's favorite: the destro ult farm zerg ball.

With the addition of the new DLC (chapter whatever they are calling it), in typical MMO fashion it has had unintended consequences.

There are more than one of these unintended consequences right now. Your best possible outcome is to report the bug as you experienced it. It maybe the player is unaware that this is a bug (very unlikely).

As an example we used to have an issue with players in Cyrodiil (one specific comes to mind) that was able to be in eternal mist form and couldnt die. ZOS is horrible at enforcing their rules in game and often the people who knowing exploit cry and get reinstated where as the normal player who reports or "tries it" gets perm banned.

Just use your instincts, something isnt right. Report it. This has happened serveral times in ESO.

I was confused at first myself. I was wondering who had the no damage buff? ROFL, the guy that made the video, or the people he was fighting?!? Cause his damage was beyond horrible.

I dont think outgoing damage is the issue - but it seems incoming damage was 0.0000000% I dont think any 'pve gear' can achieve that.

Pretty much this. They detract from legitimate gameplay. I'd rather go against an unkillable build that legitimately takes damage and heals through it any day over someone using what ever this guy's abusing.
