Maintenance for the week of December 22:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – December 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – December 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)

Battlegrounds are in bad condition.

Pretty much this.

Group finder - sucks. It stucks often. Waiting for group to be formed after accepting inv can last ages and sometimes ends up failing. After yesterdays update it's better but still it's far way from calling group finder fixed and functional.

Matchmaking - sucks. Maybe 20% of matches is 4v4v4. It mixes low lv and high levels , low and high ranks and creating teams that is obvious have no real chance to win. I dont even want to start subject of adventage that premade teams have over randoms. In my opinion weekly leaderboard should include premade teams separatly from randomly cerated ones.

Ballance - sucks.Propably the biggest issue atm because it'll also affect Cyrodill. Almost every playstyle that was very strong before update is even bigger issue atm starting from class ballance ending on sets ballance. For example my stam sorc without litreally any change is stronger now without champion points then he was with them before update same with stamblade. That's a larger subject to discuss in other threads but it's really dissapointing to see that many things that people was asking to tune down are still here sometimes even stronger then before update.

Rewarding - sucks Walking into battlegrounds without crafted potions can be very punishing. Battlegrounds consume a lot of potions because fight there is more consistent then in Cyrodill. That means it cost us lot of materials which cost time or gold to get and in return it gives us around 70% of a time useless helmets and 2-3k AP which is laughable amount. People can get better rewards for capturing resources in Cyrodill in less then 2 minutes. Despite of that the rewards we get from mails after each match are weak. Something should be revisited because helmets drop rates are waay to high comparing to other pieces.

Why would you go into Cyrodiil without crafted potions? I craft two stacks before I go PvP. Non-CP PvP builds still perform decently in Battlegrounds. There are no CP''s to use a's a crutch for sustain so damage is tuned down. Proc sets will always be proc sets. They are over performing slightly but are still manageable. I don't think people are really there for the AP gains. It's more of a fun arena type of thing with different game modes. The queues and the grouping system is a major downfall, but that will get sorted out in time.

You missed the point entirely. There are people in game that will strugle with not having enough money to allow themselves run with crafted potions in battlegrounds which consumes lot more potions then Cyrodill and rewarding system in battlegrounds is weak so You have no chance to refund atelast smal;l amount of resources spended to get crafted potions. Well I edited main post to make things more clear. I havn't changed anything on my stam sorc yet I am more effective right now then I was before update , stam nb similar burst can be even higher now then before. There is many other builds that I think feels the same. You can afford on lowering Your dmg stats on non CP to increase resource managment because poeple dont have CP to mitigate Your dmg so You can still make builds that will have good dmg and also survive enemies attacks. I dont even want to start talk how poisons overperform in non CP.

Yeah poisons are way too strong. Potions honestly don't cost that much... I farm my own mats and craft my own potions. For every hour I spend farming potions mats, I easily have enough potions for 10 to 15 hours of pvp. I literally farm stack of reagents for poisons and potions in very little time. Gold is SUPER easy to get now. I was broke a week ago. Farmed for a couple hours each night for 6 nights. Made 350k gold from materials without selling a single temper. Also got 23 temp alloy, 26 dreugh wax, and 11 rosin. Ancestor silk is going for 15k a stack on Xbox na. Gold is easy to make so complaining that potions cost too much really holds no water. P.S. I mediocre at best at farming gold.... lol

got you point @Juhasow ...sounds very legit...

I've often wondered what was the "costliest" content to run in eso...

I would imagine trials and the undaunted pledges are the worst (having to repair gear, and, only picking up BoP gear), followed by pvp then questing...

When you say costly, you're talking about content that only costs you potions and food. Depending on what potions and food you use the cost is still ridiculously small lol. 100k gold is honestly nothing.... like you can farm that in an hour or two. Potions and food cost maybe 5k to 10k..... it's like complaining about dropping a dime on the ground and panicking that you can't find it.... lmao

@hutch679 that's a nice strawman you've created. But regardless of how you want to nit pick the OP, he's 100% right.

I run through a stack of potions in a night of Pvp, but I have no problem farming/buying mats. That's not the case for everyone and in a No CP environment effects like immobilize poisons, tri-pots, immovable/speed pots, etc can have a much stronger impact than in CP enabled pVp

Add to that the balance issues, pre-made groups, and lack of Matchmaking and it's a pretty big pile. It's still salvageable if they fix the queue and add some matchmaking though

Strawman fallacy indeed. Poisons and potions do perform much better in non-cp I agree absolutely. Idk if they are really a "requirement" but they do give an edge over an opponent that isn't using them.

Idk how you can argue that the ability to increase costs by 30% in an already poor sustain environment isn't a huge advantage. If someone is running immovable pots and resource poisons and you're using a spell damage glyph and trash resource pots you're going to have to outplay them drastically to win in no CP

Even just tri-pots allow you significantly increased sustain over someone using trash pots. That's ok though, but it becomes more egregious when you've got pre made groups dominating pugs and poor matchmaking putting unbalanced teams together.

I agree that requirement is a strong word, but if you're fighting someone of similar skill, in no CP they're a colossal advantage

You guys realize, that you can PVP in imperial city and get enough mats for crafted pots with tel var stones? Apothecary kits are awesome.

You don't need to PVE or pick flowers for crafted pots, you can steal someone else's hard earned TV stones. You don't need gold anymore to make them, just a bomb blade and an enemy farm group carrying 10K each...

I don't see what the complaint here is.

Since now we have only 1 CP campaign amount of tel vars that people will exchange into parcels will be lower because the resl serious tel vars amounts that people was bringing from there was earned by farming district bosses in CP campaigns especially by nights. So for Your playstyle there will be less people to gank. Add the fact that amount of flowers consumed now will be higher because people start using draining poisons also in PvE and battlegrounds consumes massive amounts of potions. I assume price of most important flowers will go up.

Please lets not focusn too much on potions subject because it's less important matter that I just pointed as one of few.

More important rewarding failure in my opinion is drop from mail after each match. How is that possible that over half of gear from that mails are helmets.

Anyway battlegrounds give you the new sets right? They're selling for quite a bit.
Potion use it just part of the game, if you want the edge you using good crafting pots then you have got to put the time into it.

I do think the AP gain needs to be adjusted 3k base ap + 50% of your score, so even if you have an amazing game and get 5k~ score it'll only be 5.5k ap.

Maybe they should send 'reward' medals in the mail attached to your victory email, worth 200 gold for winning, 100 for second, 50 for last? It'll help with some of the cost but not all of the cost because it should cost you gold to burn through consumables.

    What?

I agree with the first two.

But for me personally, playing since 1.6, the balance in the game is at its current best. All classes can be viable in BG's and the gap from worst to best, is ALOT shorter than it was just 6-12 months ago. So i disagree with the balance part.

And for the rewards, i am very happy with them. By completing the BG, you get AP, gold and XP (alot of XP actually), based on your performance. It is not uncommon for me to get 3-4k AP per battleground i think. So even with this current bad GF, thats maybe 20-40k AP / Hour. Besides that, there is the two daily quests, and you get a guaranteed mail with items in it. Currently some of these items are very valuable (thanks to Blobs, i sold Sturdy Legs Impregnable for 50k yesterday, lol). And on top of that, i STILL get the rewards for the worthy. Finally, theres the leaderboard, which i am yet to find out what gives, since i only starting this week due to GF being broken on EU PC.

Are then any decent sets that anyone wants from those reward mail? Because they seem pretty rubbish to me. Especially for no cp bg. I either vendor all the items or randomly give the good trait items to a stranger. I do wonder how I was rewarded with a legendary quality set peice though, that was weird. Still hard to sell it for 10k

How do you get more than 20k ap per hour. That would mean you get 5 bgs with maximum rewards per hour? :dizzy:

I managed to get 7800 ap from one hour of queuing for bgs. Compared to cyro where we get between 50 to 100k per hour that is absolutely abysmal.

    MMR plz. Premade > Random

Impregnable and Knight Slayer are 2 most wanted I think.

    Well put.

Just wait few weeks until dust falls down and new meta setups will be ready. You'll see how good ballance is. In my opinion sorcs and stamblades will be dominating in BG's.

100k gold is honestly nothing.... like you can farm that in an hour or two.

How do you farm 1-2K of gold per minute?

Materials and refining. Tempers sell for a good amount, stacks of refined materials, crafting poisons/potions from alchemy mats farmed. I ran vet mazzatun several times last night, got 4 motifs, sold all 4 for 45k gold. Only took 2 hours to run Mazzatun 4 times (core friend group farming it). In the last 2 weeks I've made 500k, and still have 48 drug wax, 24 temp alloy, and 10 kuta (all farmed in that same time period). Probably played an estimated 30 to 40 hours in 2 weeks. And no where even close to all that did I spend all of it farming. Maybe 25% was actual farming. Also got a ton of tel various stones from IC and bought hakeijo runes. Sold 14 of those for 12k each. Gold is so easy to get its not something to complain about.

Armor/weapons with good traits and purple jewelry on the other hand......... lol I did manage to farm all 3 jewelry pieces and my 2 armor pieces of amberplasma in desired traits I needed in 3 days this week lol

I can't get past the group-finder part to form a solid opinion on anything else yet....

Sitting, waiting for the group-finder to fail, and fail again - to finally get the odd game and notice that the teams have uneven numbers...

I was looking forward to BG's - but I'd rather be in Cyro than sat in a queue.. and you can't queue while in Cyro...

Played about 3 BG games so far and got bored with the queues... Back in Cyro now.

Someone prod me when its working.
