BOT FESTIVAL!!!!!

There's too many for me to keep reporting in-game! Pictures prove it all, any viewers are welcome to see for yourself & help bulk-report them!

External companies are being paid to level player accounts, they also sell ESO gold to players for real money! That deserves permanent ban (mac address).

Everybody is welcome to go to Vivecs Antlers in Stonefalls for a mudball fight against the bots!!!!

Kind regards,

@SamboJ

    It's like this for months (years?) now. It seems like they don't do anything. The same with the Dolmen bots farming them 24/7.

    The fun part? They're gonna edit your post and close this thread because "naming and shaming" is not allowed.

    Bots are okay, it's just calling them out that's not :/

    Honestly don't care about being banned from the forums for doing the right thing.

    It's a link.

    Does the rules against "naming and shaming" apply to third party websites, completely independent of these forums? Is posting a link to a site with pictures considered "naming and shaming"? I have a video of another bot-party in Greenshade, from about a month ago. I reported them, told ZOS that I had a video of them, but ZOS did not ask me to send them that clip...

    From what I've seen in the "report player" menu, people are encouraged to send pictures (I assume this includes video). I was careful not to name anybody, I only provided the link for people to make their own opinion.

    I'm so tired of reporting these bots in-game only to come back to a grind spot the next day & see the same bots running the same track in the same programmed pattern.

    Nice to see that I haven't been banned & the thread is still up, hopefully this means something is being done about these cheaters.

    Since making this thread, the bots have been replaced with a new set running on freshly programmed tracks.

    If they did get banned due to my link, I'll make another one for the new lot.

    The irony here is that you'll probably get into more trouble for having their names in the screenshots than they will for botting.

    Come see the bear spawns in Stormhaven on Xbox and the dolmens in Bangkorai. 15-20 rubber banded controllers doing heavy attacks at the spawn points all day/night. I report every one I see but it does little.

    Yes, I've often thought that the game needed some kind of automatic dreugh corpse removal system for all the dead ones the bots leave behind. I was in Vivec's Antlers late last night and saw the carnage too.

    Same on PS4 (Bearclaw Mine) and I've seen petsorc swarms farming werewolves in Camlorn too.

    Hello everyone,

    As you may have noticed, we've removed the link for naming and shaming as it is against the Forum Rules. Though we have also given the link to the appropriate team to review the names and the area of Vivec's Antlers.

    Many thanks for the report!

    The bots now are nothing compared to release. We had in some delves 50+ bots sitting there. Not to mention the ones spawning for resources nodes.

    Most of you need to get a hold of yourselves and thank ZOS they are doing ALL that they can.

    They get up at 12 and start work at 1, take an hour for lunch and then at 2 they are done, its jolly good fun.

    @ZOS_AntonioP:

    I just reported like 8 accounts ingame (Xbox One / NA) for botting in betnikh, I also have a video (just need to upload it into my DVR account).

    Should I give it to you via PM? I got the automatic response mail from Zos, but I don't know if I should wait or not.

    Can you please indicate how we are meant to submit screenshots of bot activity? There seems to be no option in-game or through the support portal for providing evidence about this problem. If you want community help in stemming bot issues, reporting needs to be made simple.

    It's really not hard to track them down. There are only a few locations where they congregate (they need a high density of hide-dropping mobs). Just police those areas.

    If you go to account overview on the support page, and select a bot report (they are called customer service ticket) there's a textbox called "Add Addional information to your question" and below there's a button called "attach addional documents to your question".If you click the button you can add screenshots or videos.

    edit: you have to do it within 4 days of creating the ticket.

    It's also kind of ridiculous how "shaming" the people that intentionally violate the Terms of Service is against the rules.

    This is probably hard to believe, but not 100% of accused cheaters, exploiters, botters, scammers, etc. are actually guilty of what they are accused of. That leads to innocent people being named/shamed on the forums for something that they did not actually do. It probably seems obvious to most of us when someone is participating in these activities, but not everyone is as adept at figuring it out. Also, some people have been known to accuse others of these activities purely out of frustration, possibly even intentionally lying about it. That is likely why there is a rule against naming and shaming.

    ... this is so until someone post some video on the WEB, after YEARS and more YEARS of online game, about people who make use of the cheater.

    Then everything changes, water becomes wine, and we even have a topic set by moderation.
