So much Rain...

It feels like since the Morrowind early release patch went live, the amount of rain we get in game has doubled. I log in, I'm in my house in Serenity Falls, Reaper's March, and 9 times out of 10 when I walk outside, it's raining. I guess you could argue that Reaper's march is a Savannah and seeing as it's almost summer time, the rainfall is likely to increase, but I digress, lol.

But it's everywhere! (Where it's programmed to rain, anyway). Vivec city in the new Vvardenfell zone has to be the worst culprit for this. I may not have the best PC, I don't run on ultra high or anything, but I get decent performance while playing. And I get it, it's a new Zone, everyone is going to be there playing now and it's a busy city. But the rain really makes my fps drop like the Hindenburg in that city. Not down to like 5 or 6 fps but just enough to make you go 'Oh gods not again!'

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the rain. It makes for relaxing background noise when I'm reading, and for setting a different mood while playing in game. But when someone whom lives in England, a land where it is perpetually raining most of the time, notices just how much it rains in game... It might be just a little bit overkill, lol.

Besides the weather, (Har, har, Brit joke) I'm actually really enjoying the new Expansion's story! :)

TL;DR: Can we please, PLEASE tone down just how often it rains in game...?

I think it depends on what house you have and in what area. I noticed It rained A LOT when I had Velothi Reverie in Deshaan as my primary house. It rained 8/10 times.

I then switched to Domus Phrasticus in Craglorn, and it's sunny 9/10 times.

Probably true. But I think luck and right place, wrong time has a lot to do with it also. For all I know, the lengthy amount of times I spend in delves could be when the sun is out and I'm just unfortunate enough to come out just as it's about to start raining, lol.

The rain doesn't bother me so much in my home, just when I'm out adventuring. I don't know, maybe it just likes raining on me. xD

I live in a desert irl so every time I see rain in the game I start to feel happy.

iirc slowdown caused by rain can be fixed by lowering the value in "particle effects" or whatever

personally i love rainy weather to death and wish zeni just gave us an option to control what we see, since it's client-side and not consistent w/ what other players see in the first place.
