Error 201

I have been getting Error 201 (7:4:178:1060) messages all morning on PC. I have done all the recommendations from the Error 201 support page: checked for update, done a repair, forwarded ports on my router, and added the ZOS files to my exception list for my antivirus. I tried submitting support for web assistance via the email however the link was not working.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

@ZOS_MollyH please help. I have tried ever troubleshooting idea I can think of today. I even just did a fresh reinstall today.

Did you ever find a solution? After Win10 anniversary update (and last month's major win10 update) I had the same issue. The only thing that worked for me was reverting win10 back to a previous build.

After Win 10 Anniversary update i had to run eso64.exe as admin or i got the same problems. Try that one

I had the 108, 200 and 201 messages as well. For me, it's definitely nothing with the firewall, windows version or anything else. How do I know?

When I log in, it automatically selects the EU server (my standard server). In the messages I see "Unable to retrieve information" of something like that. If I try to log in, I get one of the errors.

HOWEVER, if I switch to NA server, I see the latest message and can login without error. I get a loading screen and go on to the character creation screen. So, no issue there.

Log out, switch to EU, same errors appear. Switch to NA, no problem logging in. So it's not in the client, windows build, connection or anything else that is serverside related, otherwise NA shouldn't be working as well.

ESO, please check the settings on both server sides and see what you have done differently, because it's very annoying that I can't reach my characters on EU and can only play on NA (where I have no characters).

yeah I'm having some problems to I can login but as soon as I click play in the character select I get an error and support tickets haven't been that helpfull

Tried that, no luck. Might have to try a complete uninstall reinstall....
