Different mounts in different regions !

Stablemasters should not sell horses in all regions around Tamriel, it's just aganist the lore and is a huge turn-off.Here is how the devs could fix this,

Eastmarch/wrothgar/The Rift: Bears

Deshaan/Stonefalls/Bal foyen/Vvardenfel: Guars

Alakir desert/Stormhaven: Camels

Reaper's march/Gratwood/Malbal tor/Green shade: Wolves

Cyrodiil: Horses

Agreed, although I would have horses supplied everywhere.

They should just make some new very plain looking variants and have them for sale for 70k or something.

I'd love to have this. Zeni loves charging 30,000,000 crowns for each mount they release though so it probably won't happen.

Exaggeration aside I was going to post more or less the same thing. I doubt they will sell anything other than plain horses for gold. Would be nice if some unique mounts has a chance to drop from hard content like hard mode trials or were earned with high Alliance War ranks.

Yeah. The mounts available for gold were in the game at launch. So, when you buy the box, you're basically getting everything that was in the game as of March 2015. If you want any of the mounts added after that, you need to cough up some cash.

I agree, it would make more sense for the various stable masters to have a wider variety of mounts. But, it's not surprising that they don't.

Horses need to be everywhere. Some people might play for months before they even get to Cyrodiil. I'd love to have some other kinds of animals for sale in stables, though, even if it's rare. I wish they'd given us a guar mount in the stables in Morrowind, at least.

In dlc it is like that. There are wolves in Goald coast, Guars in Vvanderfell... And probably in Hew's Bane were camels but I don't remember.

The reason I'd go for no horses being sold in Shadowfen is that the terrain there isn't really suited for horses and the Argonians would be more likely to breed guar and kagouti.

They have worm things that they hitch a ride on (in?) through the less hospitable places, but since those don't exist in-game we'd have to settle for guar and kagouti.

Maybe instead of having it per zone have it different per city.

Khajiit cities (mainly Rawl'kha) would have senches, Argonian ones would have guars and so on.

Or at least one plain looking one that cost gold. (the lioness senche for example)

A Guar costs 1.3k crowns, a senche/wolf/bear/camel 1.8k. The game has several issues to deal with, but i don't see your point. This game is already free to play, if you want cosmetical upgrades, pay for it. The servers arent running for free, neither eso staff does. If you want immersion, they can implement a dialogue option, where you can buy other mounts than horses for crowns. But I don't think that this would solve your problem, would it?

Dark elves on morrowind use horses as source of food. This is why all the stables in vvardenfell display guars. Would it be too much to ask when purchasing dlc/chapters, in which horses aren't the main means of transportation, to allow for the purchase of a basic guar/bear/camel/senche? It does not have to be one of the fancy, glowing light stick mounts, just a plain one, in a similar matter horses currently work. You can purchase plain brown horses, can purchase white ones if you have the imperial edition upgrade, and can purchase fancy armoured/glowing/coloured ones from the crown store. This would add to the (sometimes quite low) value of dlc's and chapters, while still allowing for the high end cosmetic mounts to be sold (although I would like some mounts to be from achievement too).

Eh... Even for the most drunken nord or orc, riding a bear is pretty remarkable, and not "commonplace riding animal" stuff you can find at every stable. Horses would still be the "standard" riding animals...
        KimoBitz wrote: »

Yup. Makes sense that the stables in dunmer lands would offer guar more then horses...

        KimoBitz wrote: »

Nope. Elves riding wolves is something out of ElfQuest, and not elder scrolls standard stuff. Though I would have liked a "pony" option for the small-in-stature bosmer...

Khajiit riding Senche on the other hand -is- part of the TES lore, so...
        KimoBitz wrote: »
        Cyrodiil: Horses
Yeah. Sadly the Imperial horse is only for imperial edition people, so...

Generally I for one would like to see some diversification in the gold bought riding animals... for example, have the 10K Sorrel horse available -everywhere- and a "region specific" mount for 45K... those could be some of the other existing horses in some lands (say... the Midnight Steed for breton lands, the Bay Dun for altmer lands and the Brown Paint for nord lands? Imperial horse in cyrodil, though that might be iffy seeing how owning the imerial edition is still prerequesite for that one) and then perhaps a plain boring guar in dunmer and argonian lands, a plain camel in redguard lands, a plain senche in khajiit lands, maybe a pony or donkey in bosmer lands... and I suppose for orcs, hmmm... not sure, really. I always thought orcs are more likely to walk, really...

But I doubt it will ever happen. Seeing how they want to use the lore of special mounts to get people to spend crowns...

I see your point, but you don't get mine. Wouldn't you consider it unfair, if a mount you payed real money for would suddenly become available for ingame gold? This being an online game, lore is not the only variable that counts.
