I find it a bit jarring to put a 4000 crown, limited time mount in the store on the same month as the Morrowind release. 4000 is steep as it is but on top of the expansion it's really too much.

Time-limited is exactly why they do it now.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

Hearthfire. Like the month. Or the Skyrim add-on.

It's a bit overblown. Doesn't make a lot of sense to have all of the clipping pieces of rock in the summoning. Ditch all that, and we're down to 3000 crowns like the Frost Mare. Actually, I don't know why it couldn't just be a 2500 crown Kagouti with a nice color scheme. Nature isn't boring.

I'll probably just wait for the Kagouti Fabricant now. Which, interestingly, is the one that could have gotten away with pooping hot rocks.

ZO$, stop with these ridiculously overpriced mounts and items! I (and many others by the looks/sounds of it) will refuse to spend money on these items. Price lower and reasonably and more people will buy which in the end is more profit for you but ya go ahead and keep up with this level of greed and see how it works out.

These prices are getting ridiculous! I won't buy these items and it is just disturbing how greedy you guys have become with these crown shop items. 2500 crowns is the absolutely MAX I would ever spend on any mount! I will NEVER touch the crown crates, I will NEVER touch housing at this rate since it's completely useless and the mundus stones are extremely overpriced too!

Why? (Seriously, it's not like they expect everyone who buys MW to buy that as well. And since it's a crown item, there's plenty of ESO+ folks who have Crowns sitting around, which they couldn't use for the MW upgrade. And then there's the people who stock up on crowns during sales.)

I'm reasonably certain that the marketing guy has a nice graph relating price of cosmetic items to how many sales they have. When that graph curve is no longer in their favor (not enough people buying), they'll drop the price. Pretty straightforward.

edit: and no, I've never bought a cosmetic item above 700 crowns from the store. I just don't see the need to get worked up over them. Price is too high for what it is? I don't buy it. If enough other people don't, price will go down. If enough people do buy, price stays the same, and I continue not spending money on them. Simple. /shrug

When you criticize someone, you should make it constructive. Thread where everybody just spamming "ZO$$$ IS GREEEEEEDYYY!!!!111" violates forum rules. Didn't you noticed that more than half of the forum threads are about ZOS mistakes? Locking single threads is pointless.

I was saving crowns for this mount, but I'm not willing to spend more than 2500 on it. Guess I'm not spending my crowns this month after all.

    Hi Welcome

    Vocal minority complaining...

I don't think the bolded word means what you think it does. Locking threads(and other moderation) is important for forum's health, it's not good to let spam threads run rampant and bury actual important issues(like lag/performance, broken group/dungeon finder, and other broken parts of the game).

    It really is quite simple....

If you think a mount is overpriced, the don't buy it.

I thought it was way too much for people to buy them. Log in at Craglorn wayshrine and see 5 guys in a circle jumping about on them...

It does look awesome. But 4k crowns is a joke and no we are they getting that out of me for a mount.

So only people who are willing or able to pay the price of the game in addition to their monthly sub should be able to enjoy cosmetic fluff... Interesting.

I suddenly realize the source of all humanity's problems, why we haven't colonized space or solved immortality by now.

I think locking threads that voice an opinion that ZOS is being greedy with it's prices is unfair.

It is a valid opinion, and if a company continues to ignore customer sentiment and feedback, it will eventually only lead to a loss for the company (given enough time of continually ignoring customers).

I've made several to the point comments and discussions in the past as to why greed is not good for the company or the game... but after a while it gets a bit much repeating what has been stated many times before.

It's not like the players do not know that there has been a state of greed on behalf of ZOS for quite sometime now. So giving feedback that these things are well over priced is actually FREE market research for the company... not that they appear to take any notice of it.

Locking threads just for giving justified feedback says a lot!

Just curious, do the folks calling it "unfair"walk into stores and loudly proclaim that the prices there are unfair?
