After satisfying the nostalgia of the people, can we finally move on to new regions?

When i first heard about eso, i hoped to explore the rest of tamriel instead of waiting 30 years for bethesda to make enough single player games to cover the rest,
but the last two added areas were already known to us with the gold coast and morrowind.

I would prefer to visit the years ago mentioned murkmire or the daedric realm of mephala called spiral skein instead of getting a remade of skyrim or sheogorath or hermaeus moras next year.
Before people go with pitch forks at me, im not bashing zos for the current content which is very good, i just don't want that they only ride the nostalgia train.

ESO has a bright future ahead with at least 2 map DLCs, 1 dungeon DLC and 1 Chapter, which gives us many many places to explore. Besides that, Zenimax does have a huge plan for the future regarding the rest of Tamriel since its a MMO, it's making a huge profit and they've made a great questline to link ESO to it's future.

I really want the new chapter next summer to be elseweyr, but I'm cynically expecting murkmire. The section you visit in the dark bro quest line was very pretty, but I flipping hate Argonian storylines, I can't stand Shadowfen, and like only 1% of toons are argonian...a good indicator of how popular they are.

We've had major expansion into D.C. (Wrothgar) and EP (Morrowind) so the next should be in AD territory. That'd likely be elseweyr or summerset isles.

Ahh, the other half of Skyrim. Nice choice but they did Osinium (DC) and Vvardenfell (EP) so look for either Elsweyr, home of the skooma-addled fleabags Khajiit, or a plane of Oblivion.

I agree. As much as it can be nice to revisit familiar territory in a different era I'd much rather see some of the parts of Tamriel, and the rest of Nirn, we've never been to before.

Or even ones we haven't been to since Arena, since that game looked and played very differently so it'd be a much bigger change.

It would also be nice to see them have to market a release on something other than nostalgia. Part of me wonders if that's what's holding them back - they don't know how to sell it if it's not a re-hash of something they can tell us we loved before.

As you can see from the comments, the skyfail kids will ensure more of skyrim is unlocked. Because nostalgia to low brows with **** taste in RPGs means a 5 year old *** poor excuse of an RPG.

Im guessing what is holding them back is that if they do a never before seen region, they have to somewhat stick to what zeni creates when/if Bethesda makes the next single player elder scrolls. Although im guessing skyfail2 will be the next game because of the skyfail kids.

I've been waiting for Murkmire for quite a while now; I'd also like to explore some of the lesser Princes' realms like Peryite. Seriously, where is Peryite? Please?

Summerset and Elsweyr would also be neat, but I fear Summerset's distance from the mainland would make it difficult to justify getting there. Vvardenfell isn't that far off the coast, you can see The Rift and Stonefalls from it. Summerset you've got a whole ocean to deal with.
Disregard, I actually looked at a map and I was totally thinking of Pyandomea or whatever the Maormer land is called. I do, however, wonder what they'd even come up with...

I would imagine the next chapter would be Summerset/Alinor. That's speculation, but I think it's solid speculation.

Between now and then, we can expect one DLC with basegame changes, one DLC with nothing but new dungeons, and one DLC with a new area. Honestly, it's anyone's guess what the new area will be.
