LONG READ. ITS INTENDED FOR ZOS. NOT NESESARLY FOR DISCUSIÓN. ALTHOUGH I WOULD LOVE YOUR IMPUT.

I have been playing this game pretty much everyday for over a year now. I have followed since launch but I refused to play in console. Waited to get a PC then joined the game. I have been paying the subscription because I wanted. I understand you guys are in the business of making money and I want to support the game I play and enjoy. This game has provided me with many things, such as friendships, laughs and brought me out of a dark place once or twice. All and all this game has been with me for a decent amount of time and has become part of my life.

When I saw the new update, morrowind, I was more than ecstatic. I was so happy that the game was coming out with something I had been praying for since I started pvping. Battlegrounds! This is awesome! I thought to myself. Then all the changes followed. And I was not so happy about them. But I though, well maybe it won't be that bad. I was just so happy about the content I didint care that much about the changes.

I am I MagDK main. So please keep that in mind.

The recent changes, although not bad, don't come without consequences. My main issue is some "no skill sets" and poisons. With all the changes to resource management, poisons should not be in the game. How am I supposed to survive when someone is using a increase magicka and stamina cost by 60% for 4 to 5 seconds? How do I come back from that. Since recovery now is ass. You can say heavy attack. Sure, I can try. But your opponent won't let you. They will just cc you. Then use a pot you might say. And immovable pot, to regen magicka and health. And rendering you un cc-able for 14 seconds. This pots give you 7k magicka back. That's 3 or 4 skills that I can use. Its so difficult to come back from one poison that will be applied to you again in 10 seconds. They are simply too strong. And there are other poisons that are worst. Like the double damage poisons. Poisons have no place for the current state of the game. I hate using them. But if you don't you are at a disadvantage.

Then there are proc sets. Specifically Vipers Sting and Tremorscale. Good ol Wrobbles Revenge. You guys "worked" on that set. Well one could argue that you didint. It cannot crit anymore. Ok that's a step in the correct direction. You can block the damage. Sure you can. But you really can't. You can't tell when it's coming. And it comes all the time. 4K damage every 4 seconds. Let's say a battle last 60 seconds. A quick fight. That set, that requieres no skill to use nor acquire, does 60k damage. That's 60k damage guaranteed. And all you had to do is a tier 1 dungeon that you can solo in normal. And even vet if you want. How is this acceptable? Then you go nerf battle roar? Who was complaining about that passive? It's ridiculous that battleroar got nerfed. Who asked for that? It was not OP. It was unique. I won't go into the math of Tremorscale. But the combo is insane. And it shines in non CP. So the battlegrounds experience will be plagued by that build. It already is. 2 and 3 viper stings in my death recap half the time. Please don't comment that you can block it because when 2 people are hitting you, your stam goes by so fast you can't even break free. And you die. Well, you die anyway. It's just a question of how do you want to go.

I dont want viper to be removed. Just reworked. Do something else with it. Like a DOT. Give it a longer cooldown. Or proc chance. But guaranteed damage is a no go. It's too much damage. Why would I play MagDK when I can go stam and use Viper and Tremor, kill everyone and no skill involved? It's one button and all that damage procs.

Poisons the same way. Don't remove them. Rework them. Those poisons are nasty. I would like them removed. But you guys did work hard to implement them. I can respect that.

It makes me question if the developers actually play the game (I know not all of you guys are Developers, I will call all the staff that works in the game, developers for easier understanding. All of the designers, balancing staff, dungeon creators, everyone should play the game. So they understand what's needed and what's not) I have hear tales of developers coming out to play. And hordes of people showing up to see them. Because they had the Z logo on their name. Idk if it's true or not. I can say I have never seen one. I don't think you guys play the game. But I do think you should be playing. Interact with the player base.

I don't want to stop playing the game. But the only way I see to make you guys understand that I don't agree with the changes is to vote with my wallet.

i've been in the game for a while too...cuz i enjoy zerg surfing a bunch - i've always relied on others to provide a purge...i'm still bitter they stole the purge away from my nightblades shadow cloak...grrrrrrrrrrr...

you need to level and slot purge from the support skill line...in small scale pvp - it's really a must...

for my characters wearing heavy armor doesn't seem to matter - but, for my light armor wearing characters - it's a must...

my magdk has dragon blood on one bar and purge on the other bar...

Edit: didn't realize how crucial purge is until i started playing small scale pvp a bunch...

Edit to the Edit: i understand and appreciate your frustrations - keep in mind though - there is normally a solution to each problem...just got to ask questions, do some research and figure it out...

Purge is stupid expensive. Templars have a 5 DOT cleanse. And it's cheap. Like crazy cheap. And they provide a synergy too. A Templar in group PVP is a must!

you're absolutely right...hopefully you have a little extra magic to spare to use it...once you can level it to be able to morph to efficient purge - it's marginally better :#

hopefully the cost won't break your build...

like i said - for a very long time i avoided slotting purge - it's made a world of difference though on my light armor wearing characters...

without cost reduction cp anymore - hopefully at some point @zos will take pity on the non-templar folks - and, lower the cost...

Not to detract from your post, but they did actually reduce the effectiveness of cost increase poisons.
    Consumables
    • All cost poisons have been reduced in effectiveness. Instead of increasing enemy resource costs by 60%, they now only increase enemy resource costs by 30%.

The resource poisons dropped to 30% down from 60% didn't they?

Also, you can have poisons give you like 238 mag per sec for several secs too, like 5.5. Obviouly not a one-for-one there but helps your others.

But getting a couple lights or a heavy extra in during the poison time, then hitting costliest during cool down is an idea, requires more reactive less scripted rotation, tho.

Very nice. I knew they did kinda reworked them. Just forgot about it. Thank you for letting me know!
