I have a question for those of you complaining about resources; are you guys wearing anything other than 5 Light/1Medium/1 Heavy?

I have a friend that plays a Magicka Templar, and he's telling me that as long as you get in the habit of weaving in Heavy Attacks with a Resto Staff, your resources will be fine while wearing 5 Light...

I'm wearing 6 light/1 heavy, running channeled focus/harness with dual staves. Heavy lightning to restore. Basically this is the meta.
Raising floors and lower ceilings by zos standards has created an iron maiden.
No matter how well you played, when the game is over, the king and pawn go back in the same box.
Be careful what you ask for from zo$, you always get punished.

PVE Healing seems fine. I was really worried about the Breath of Life nerf but I didn't realize the new "cone" would be so big. As long as you are looking in the general direction you will get the heal off on someone. Repentance is sort of meh now but I'm keeping it for the buff for now. The sky did not fall.

Templars are still mostly the same if you were just a PvE healbot before. PvP though....not the same. Worse off imo.

How can any mag build have sustain issues with wards and symmetry?

I dare you to use symmetry in new trial!

Eh just weave in some heavy attacks, use harness magicka, elem drain etc can still sustain quite easy so nothing much has changed in that aspect for me.

Fine. I actually don't even use potions and drain poison. Heavy attacks is somewhat hard to manage with no-pet class, but only if you play solo against hard worldboss. You need to catch boss atacks in order to charge your heavy.

Still, it's fun, feeling myself like i do something, not just hiding behind pet-tank.

Tried yesterday my pvp templar healer for no-CP. And sustain just doomed comparing to previous patch :dizzy: At this moment once I feeling weak, lol. And because I usually run small scale pvp, where my group is always outnumbered, I'm not sure, how it's going to play now.
Speaking about pvp dd solo templars... I don't even want to try it.

I think what the OP referred to was how Templars feel with regard to end-game content and/or PvP. Because honestly, Word Bosses, Dolmens, Quests, etc these things don't even need a class to complete, imho.

My magplar is doing just fine. Sustain is a little harder, but I NEVER went OOM before, so it's just a little less EZ-mode.

I hate being a magplar DPS now. The Magplar DPS is one class that needs to sustain it's resources to the very end. If your max magicka is less than 50, 70 maybe 80%, your execute is pathetic. It's not like a sorc who even if you have 20% of your max magicka your execute will hit just the same. Radiant Oppression's damage scales off of how much max magicka you have left, not your max magicka pool.

healing wise, it's ok, I suppose. Meh...

Oppression hasn't been worth it to use since they nerfed the radiant a couple of patches ago, use glory and do not worry about your magic or dying in execute range.

Honestly, templars have magicka steal, and focus, thats 800 regen right there. Thats pretty dang strong! if you oom on a templar, you need to re-build.

JB was still good for me. Just didn't execute until like 20-25% now. Before I would start executing at 49% it was more cost efficient to do that then. I will admit, I have several times wanted to scrap out JB from my rotation :P

You obviously have not played magplar long enough. Templars ever since have resource management issues. and 12k BoL heal? Hehehe.

I've been Templar since early access, 2014. I have never had any sustain issues, I could live off of 800 regen with channeling and heavy resto w/ a pot. I have 1.8k regen with no CP, without buffs, I use steal magicka + chanelling I nearly never run out, and BOL heals 1/2 to full health pretty easily. BOL Was making the game easy mode, cost nothing and healed 18-20k last patch w/ CP, no LOS or anything, just did it.

Healing has become somehow boring. Some patches ago I really had to decide which skills to slot, and keep track of ele drain and siphon, throw orbs and spears, figure out when to use repentence, so the group benefits most from it.
When we entered the new trial, it was like "hm, I have an empty skill slot, which skill do I put there that passivly benefits me the most even if I never use it".

Battlegrounds on a stamplar are fun ... as long as there is no other templar stealing your repentance.

You do realize builds like this are partial reason we have no CP in BG?

You do realize that most if not all templar nerfs are connected to the new class warden and bg? bol, heal ult, major mending, bs.

Man they need to come up with sth for templar, feeling like a castrato right now.
