A plea for help - I rolled the wrong faction

Greetings,

I stand before you a disgraced Warden, drowned in shame.

Like many, I was eager to create a Warden, and did so as soon as the servers were up. I knew I wanted to roll an Argonian and, like ALL my other characters, join as a loyal member of the Daggerfall Covenant. I created "Sallingden", and was off to be the first Warden in my guild to level 50. A feat I accomplished in just over 10 hours yesterday. Huzzah! Ready to gear up and get back into Cyrodil!

What I saw when I opened the Alliance War menu made my heart sink. Ebonheart Pact. I was a member of the Ebonheart Pact. A member of a faction I've been fighting since the game launched. My guild is a Daggerfall Covenant guild. My whole ESO life is based in the Daggerfall Covenant.

Please, if there is any way you can help me transition this character back to the Daggerfall Covenant, I would be eternally grateful.

Thank you,
Sallington

You know, I panicked and double checked my alliance affiliation on my warden....

At level 8. I can't imagine hitting 50 with it. Good luck.

Every one hour of grinding mobs takes 2 weeks off the end of your life though. It's just not safe for me to level like that again lol

If it's any consolidation, it's only been one day. If you got one character to 50 in ten hours, I bet you can get another to 50 in nine and a half.

I had a friend join the DC because he didn't like the "looks" of the other races. While everyone else in our group joined AD. We missed out on a LOT of content or at least the option of grouping up (this was before One Tamriel).

I think it'd would be a nice option to somehow "defect" to other Alliances. Whether through in game coin/questing or, dare I say it, the Crown Store.

When you boil it down, you have two options:
    • Play this character... in EP
    • Create another Warden for DC

Whether you have space on your character screen to create a new character without deleting this one is between you and your account, but in the bigger picture... this was only a day's work for you.

Sure, he's a shiny level 50 and getting one up that fast is something to be proud of, but you can clearly do it again. You just need another 10 hours, which is a drop in the bucket for most of us when it comes to this game. So, consider what you'd want longterm: to have an active alt in the EP or to level a second Warden.

Heck, what I'd do is keep the EP Warden, and just claim he's in EP acting as a spy for the DC. But I don't really pvp, so the inability to help in Cyrodiil wouldn't sting me as much. ;)
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

    LOL

I've already decided this will be my "PvE" Warden. I'll level another, albeit more slowly, since grinding 10 hours in a day made me want to rip my eyes out. Unless of course, ZOS believes in miracles as much as I do and grants my wish.
