Does anyone have this info? I'm concerned about my SSD filling up while doing the download.
Thanks!

I have 5GB free on my SSD and that's not enough. Perhaps it's intended to punish people who don't buy Moronwind./s You have to download it anyway so might as well buy it. My SSD is toast but I cant play the base game without downloading content I don't want.

Funny cuz that's how all previous DLCs worked. Maybe moronwind was a DLC after all. I bet all the people who bought it on a CD feel silly.

Everything has always been downloaded to your computer when it came out, no matter what they call the content. It's an MMO, everyone always has their client patched to the latest version, no matter what they've paid for.

And patching large games generally takes a lot of free HD space, for scratch files & work space... that's nothing new either.

Well, that's a whole different topic in the modern gaming industry. It was pretty annoying to buy Fallout 4 in the store, and end up having to download most of it. Not as bad as the boxed games you can buy that don't even have a disc in them, but instead just have a piece of paper with a download code on it.

(Although, come to think of it.... even back ten years ago, when I bought WoW expansions on disc, they still needed to download a good chunk of data. Because more edits/patches/fixes were made between the time the discs were pressed and when the expansion launched.)

No offense to you good people who have replied, but I just need to know the size in gigabytes of this patch. They really need to put this front and center in the patch notes. I'm not sure where else to look.

It's hard to tell, since the downloader goes through multiple stages. I do remember that the first bit was 7GB.

It says right on the patch notes that the download is 8.7 gb. Some files will likely be overwritten so it probably does not grow by that much. Not at home to check but I would estimate a storage increase of about 7 to 8 gb.

Thanks. Feeling a little foolish now. I guess I gotta slow down my reading.

You may need more HDD/SSD space for installation than the 7-9GB download size, but I'm not certain. What I can say for sure is that my game folder is using 56GB after the update.
