Well DKs scale a lot of things with health and the shields you give to your groups are insane: Alkosh is still good, but atm survival > dps

Hmm i think run the Shockstaff with blockade of Shock on the backbar and use the fire staff random one on frontbar with poison. That could work.

@Alcast What are your thoughts on Stam DK vs. Stam Sorc vs. Stam Warden for (1) PvE [aka Trials, VMS] and (2) PvP [AvA / Battlegrounds]? I'm looking for a solid stam class that I can reliably participate in both areas without having to switch classes/builds repeatedly. I enjoy both stam dk and stam sorc as such it's a toss-up [haven't much had an opportunity to try Stam Warden yet].

PvE wise I enjoy Stam Sorc more but its personal preference. Both are really strong. So go with what you like more hehe. PvP no clue, havent done any pvp yet :8

I think if you dont wanna swap gear then go definitely with Bone Pirate Set combined with Dubious Camoran Throne Drink. Those give good sustain and then add a set of your choice.

Hello, Did you consider the jumping points for the cp repartition? There seems to be some builds like magicka sorc with 90 points in arcanist while jump point is below according to data shared on the forum?

Ok done, its funny because I noticed for most damage dealers you have the EXACT SAME setup because jump points are so huge now >.>

I have an Altmer MagSorc non-pet build. I have a Sharpened Moondancer Lightning Staff, but no Sharpened Maelstrom staff of any kind. I do have a Sharpened Master Fire Staff. Would it make sense to put the Moondancer Lightning on front bar and Master Fire on back bar? Would I want to use Scathing Mage in that case instead of Netch's Touch? I have all gold Moondancer jewelry and Divine Ilambris in most weights (Light + Medium Shoulder, Medium + Heavy Head), so I think I would want to keep those. Or being stuck with a Fire Staff, should I stick with my existing all-Divines BSW set? Between Fire Clench and Fire Blockade, will I get enough uptime on BSW for it to be worthwhile?

This is for a VHOF build in a pretty good but not great guild. It took us months to clear Vet Maw and I expect VHOF to be similar.

It is hard to get groups together for VDSA because everyone hates how long it is. And while I have cleared VMA, I hate VMA with the white hot passion of a thousand burning suns and cannot see myself farming that over and over again for a Sharpened Maelstrom lightning staff. So it is likely that sharpened Master Fire Staff is as good as it is going to get for me.

I do have a Sharpened Moondancer Fire Staff, but I don't see that being better than the Master Staff. The extra magicka from Master Staff is probably a wash with extra spell damage from 4th piece of Moondancer, so the extra fire clench damage and reduced fire clench cost would seem to make Master Fire Staff a better choice.

@Alcast, I was wondering with regard to the Stam Sorc build why you would opt for an infused Hunding's Rage dagger instead of nirnhoned? I understand infused increases the wpn dmg glyph, but not as much as nirnhoned does.

I'm running 5xVO 5x NMG (1x nirnhoned dagger, 1x sharp) and 2x Kra'gh. Just curious if nirnhoned might be a viable option now.

You can definitely keep your setup with the fire staff. If you ever get the chance for a 2nd shockstaff go for it. But the fire staff is also nice.

It increases your weapon damage more than nirnhoned iirc AND it reduces the cooldown of the glyph. Nirnhond is also a good choice, but infused slightly better.

A couple of questions from a noob about your Warden Healer build, if you have the time -- I realize your stuff is probably aimed more at veterans, so if you don't have time for hand-holding, no offense taken, at all.

For reference, I've been comfortably healing on a templar for normal mode dungeons, but am only now approaching the CPs I need to start looking at veteran content. I love the warden aesthetic though so I am looking to main warden healer.

Specific questions:

Why Healing Ward over Bursting Vines? I realize Ward scales higher on very low health targets, but Vines seems to heal for more for cheaper, at slightly reduced range (but wardens seem to benefit from positioning a ton anyways, so).

Why Healing Springs AND Budding Seeds? Springs does return magicka, but so do Green Balance skills with the passive (though I haven't tested how much). Otherwise they seem to fill a very similar role, and you get more oomph from Green Balance skills the more you have on your bar (again, with passive). Maybe I'm just using Seeds incorrectly, lol.

Why no Lotus Blossom? Free heals from attacking -- which I understand will be more necessary now that sustain has taken a hit -- and crits seem pretty nice.

Why no Leeching Vines? A HoT for the target and for the DPS? Is the cooldown on the proc prohibitive?


I'm not arguing these points, I'm just trying to understand why you pass over some of the GB skills for resto staff ones.

Try an alternate dns like googles (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) have seen that happen on lots of sites when the ISP dns was screwed up.
