Your enchant can only do so much damage. Precise starts to win over infused at roughly 55k DPS which is totally achievable in a proper trial group at the moment. Precise is also straight up better in any fight with multiple targets. Typically you take magicka into raids like vCR and vAS which are both multi target fights in HM.

Infused is still really strong for anyone struggling to hit those numbers or mostly fighting single target.

Since we now run Shadow Mundus Stone on all characters, precise performs better and what @NupidStoob said. It is a small difference though.

If you want to play solo I recommend slotting Power Surge and use a lot of shielding: https://eso-skillbook.com/skill/power-surgehttps://eso-skillbook.com/skill/power-surge

If you need more sustain and also add some healing you can also use this ability: https://eso-skillbook.com/skill/dark-conversion

Stamina Necromancer is currently one of the top specs whereas Magicka Necromancer is kinda lackluster in terms of dps whne you compare it to the other setups. By that I mean a few thousand dps difference, for most people it is no deal at all.

Me too! Loved my Unholy DK.

I've been wanting to play with a 2H for a while now so very keen on the 2H Stamcro.

Also....just a side note to @Alcast, please tell me that there possibly may be a chance for some of the 2H VMA weapons could have some usage - I have so many of the darn things :s

The Maelstrom Two Handers are not that useful nope. They used to be decent in PvP but ZOS nerfed them so ye, better use something else.

I just released the Bow/Bow build for StamDK that I played a few days ago:

The set is nice because it allows you to go Bloody Mara or blue food. that way your max health and max magicka are way higher. Sure, siroria is still better if you hump a target dummy, but most people do not realize that they can not keep up their stacks at all in raids.

Alcast, if you had to choose Blight or Toxin for a returning sub 300CP player, who is mainly doing overland as well as non-vet's, but most def vet's (prob not trials though), which would it be?

-Necro seems to have sustain issues vs. DK w/ World of Ruin, thoughts?

Lastly, I want it to feel like I'm using class abilities, and not just weapon lines.

    Thanks!

I would definitely go with the Dragonknight, I like the crazy sustain on that setup and the class abilities also look really nice :)

Yes, because we are using a different food. You can use Max Stam Stam Rec food to increase your overall sustain. So you put 20 points into health and with last gasp passive of Necromancer you will have decent health.

Since I am returning player from year 1, I was really lost so I found your site by googling. I do like how you explain things for the beginner guide. However your Dragonknight and Necromancer are almost identical. A tank using dual wield? What??? That got me to thinking are they just copying and pasting and just tossing it on the site and hope it works? That stamina guide for Necro was decent BUT you didnt even include guild stuff.

On that note: Anyone have a guide for a balanced dragonknight tank for for leveling and dungeons etc etc?

Leveling up on most setups is similar, that is why you might see a similarity. Can you elaborate on the tank thingy? The Beginner Guides are not really directed at tanks, because you usually want to level up with some sort of damage setup, that is why Dualwield or 2H is usually the preferred choice.

To bring in some more variety into the beginner builds https://alcasthq.com/eso-stamina-necromancer-beginner-guide/ I also started creating some videos with a slightly different approach, for example this one here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2H5fMZRkWo

Nearly all beginner guides are focused on the fastest way to max level, rather than playing a role (tank/healer/damage) from start to max level. Most people only care about end game content and want to get there as fast as they can. I think that is what was missed.

Thanks for the reply back and I did watch a few of your alcast videos long video before I even read the build pages.

You only have Magicka and Stamina. I chose Stamina and in this guide it talks about dual wield or 2 handed. No mention of shield and sword. After playing the build it felt more dps than tank.

Also you have a small error to fix on this page. If you click on stamina dragonknight it takes you to Necro page instead.

    Thanks for trying to help!

Thanks, fixed the bug. Yes the beginner builds are usually made for more of a damage setup rather then a tank setup. Now I am curious, why do you think this was a tank build or beginner guide? Is it because it is a dragonknight and thus it should be a tank? Or what exactly was the thought process?

    Thanks

Yes. I recently came back after 1.5 years off. Back then I would check out Deltia and Alcast for up to date builds (and casually rummage the forums) and take those builds and tweak them to match my preferences. It was great!

But since I came back a few weeks ago, it seems Alcast is the only in-depth guide available. Trutear (spelling?) Seems to have some good healer info but I was hoping to get a couple viewpoints on solid builds for "all classes and guides" .

Anyway, Alcast:thank you for your great site and info! It's a great resource for me that I visit quite frequently (especially while I am at work)! I REALLY like that some classes have more than one build for magicka/stamina/pvp (ie bow/bow or dw/bow or 2h/bow). It just gives a lot more options for me to fart around with in game!

Thanks, the website is basically my main focus, because it everyone can access it either during work, or on the way home and I use youtube and twitch to kinda help the site. I hope I can keep growing and building the website even further in the future, just really tricky when the game gets updated every 3 months haha.

    Hi again!

Your "Paladin" Templar tanking guide understandably has no CC, although it does have some snares. For what content, if any, do you think that drawback would NOT be OK?

Optional spellcheck: I'd fix the save/safe typo on that page, as it could conceivably cause a little confusion.
